207 of those are in East Arkansas Regional Prison... are you suggesting that prisoners may not be able to social distance - and that living 24 hours a day inside a contained environment with recirculated air promotes the spread of covid?

There are a lot of stupid and uninformed people in the world and the states seem to have a monopoly on them

Sunday June 14

- Florida's Gov. Ron DeSantis shrugs off bad coronavirus news as cases rocket 35% in a single day. It was the third record jump in three days running of new COVID-19 cases, The Miami Herald noted. The state has a record number of residents over the age of 65, who are most vulnerable to COVID-19. DeSantis triggered an uproar in April when he called Florida “God’s waiting room” because of its elderly population.
- Twenty-one states have seen an increase in their average daily new coronavirus cases this week in comparison to the previous week, according to data compiled by The Washington Post. New infections nationwide also surged.
Alabama, Oregon and South Carolina are among the states with the biggest increases. Alabama saw a 92 percent change in its seven-day average, while Oregon’s seven-day average was up 83.8 percent and South Carolina’s was up 60.3 percent. Hospitalizations have risen as well. For example, Arkansas has seen a 120.7 percent increase in hospitalizations, from 92 cases to 203, since Memorial Day.
- Several new studies published this month support wearing masks to curb the transmission of the virus.
- Brazil’s official coronavirus death toll overtook Britain to become the world’s second-worst hit country.
- Russia more than doubled its official death toll related to covid-19 for April, days after the World Health Organization raised questions about its numbers.

Sad......and scary that so many people have to get sick and die to please someone's ego and agenda. Don't think we have seen the worst of the pandemic yet, as India and Pakistan, as well as south and central America are just at the leading edge of the pandemic.

Guess we are on our 2nd wave. Another one day makes 4 in 3 days.

Sad, but not unexpected as testing has not slowed.
