GCJenks Posted March 13, 2021 Report Posted March 13, 2021 I’m not sure if this has been posted before or not but Drs Manitoba has put up a great vaccine related site. https://www.manitobavaccine.ca/ The provincial one is solely based on age and not any of the new health related criteria for the AZ shot from Drs to pharmacists. Tracker Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 What it's like being one of the few people with 'super antibodies' against COVID-19 John Hollis, a communications manager at George Mason University in Virginia, has developed rare 'super antibodies' that make him practically immune to COVID-19. What it's like being one of the few people with 'super antibodies' against COVID-19 John Hollis's blood may hold the key for a better COVID-19 vaccine. That's because the Virginia man is one of the rare COVID-19 survivors who has what are called "super antibodies" that are extremely effective at neutralizing the virus. That means Hollis is practically immune to COVID-19. What's more, his super antibodies may even provide immunity to the new coronavirus variants that existing vaccines are less effective against. (Well worth the read-or listen to in the podcast)

Apparently that makes you a 'survivor' 🙄 Edited March 15, 2021 by FrostyWinnipeg Bigblue204 1

Apparently that makes you a 'survivor' 🙄 It was not severe, but apparently he has such mega-immunity that his blood, even when diluted by a factor of 10,000, is able to fight off not only the original COVID virus but all the mutations. Amazing.

JCon Posted March 15, 2021 Author Report Posted March 15, 2021 Manitoba TPR: 4.8% (up .3) Winnipeg TPR: 3.5% I think we can expect it to slowly begin to go up now. More openings mean more cases. Noeller, blue_gold_84 and Bigblue204 1 1 1

bustamente Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 Until 65- 70% of the population are vaccinated expect a roller coaster of new cases especially with the new variants, get your shots people when it's your turn, supposedly we will be getting less doses in the coming week, but then a flood of doses will arrive from both Pfizer and Moderna and also Astra Zaneca and J&J rebusrankin and Noeller 2

Hopefully they get the online booking system up soon because doing it over the phone was not the smoothest process I've ever had! Noeller, blue_gold_84, Wanna-B-Fanboy and 2 others 5

rebusrankin Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 Apparently all us Manitoba residents caused the second wave according to Pallister. Yep, had nothing to do with The Restart Campaign, dropping restrictions too quickly, not reacting to rising test results in a timely manner, a lack of contact tracing etc. Wanna-B-Fanboy and blue_gold_84 2

Didn't you hear about how they got things under control in the first wave? That was all them. They'll remind you as their vaccine rollout is a mess and we're starting the third wave. Now, go to a patio and get your drink on. rebusrankin, Wanna-B-Fanboy, WildPath and 1 other 4
