What it's like being one of the few people with 'super antibodies' against COVID-19

John Hollis, a communications manager at George Mason University in Virginia, has developed rare 'super antibodies' that make him practically immune to COVID-19.
What it's like being one of the few people with 'super antibodies' against COVID-19
John Hollis's blood may hold the key for a better COVID-19 vaccine.

That's because the Virginia man is one of the rare COVID-19 survivors who has what are called "super antibodies" that are extremely effective at neutralizing the virus.

That means Hollis is practically immune to COVID-19. What's more, his super antibodies may even provide immunity to the new coronavirus variants that existing vaccines are less effective against.

(Well worth the read-or listen to in the podcast)

It wasn't severe, and it went away after a couple days, so he chalked it up to seasonal allergies and didn't think any more about it.

Apparently that makes you a 'survivor' 🙄

It was not severe, but apparently he has such mega-immunity that his blood, even when diluted by a factor of 10,000, is able to fight off not only the original COVID virus but all the mutations. Amazing.

Did he get the virus? Is he still alive? If so...does that not make him a survivor?

That a few days of increase now isn't? Don't like that!

It's inevitable, unfortunately.

Until 65- 70% of the population are vaccinated expect a roller coaster of new cases especially with the new variants, get your shots people when it's your turn, supposedly we will be getting less doses in the coming week, but then a flood of doses will arrive from both Pfizer and Moderna and also Astra Zaneca and J&J

Apparently all us Manitoba residents caused the second wave according to Pallister. Yep, had nothing to do with The Restart Campaign, dropping restrictions too quickly, not reacting to rising test results in a timely manner, a lack of contact tracing etc.

You're not very loyal to Dear Leader.

Didn't you hear about how they got things under control in the first wave? That was all them. They'll remind you as their vaccine rollout is a mess and we're starting the third wave.

Now, go to a patio and get your drink on.

Can't tell if you were joking or not, but here is why I don't: everything else shutdown except school, and the numbers dropped.

No, I'm serious. When the kids in the USA went back to college/school all ya heard was outbreaks there and u look at the covid totals for Manitoba, it went up late Aug/early Sept.
