WildPath Posted October 14, 2023 Report Posted October 14, 2023 Got my flu walk-in at Superstore last week. Covid shot booked for Monday. My son had his Covid shot booked during this week, but it was cancelled because the shipment was late. Mark H., Noeller and JCon 3
FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 16, 2023 Report Posted October 16, 2023 Went to get flu shot, out of flu shot but they said you want the covid booster? Looked at my phone to see only 1 bar so I said "Sure, I'm low on signal as it is." Noeller, JCon, WildPath and 1 other 1 3
Noeller Posted October 16, 2023 Report Posted October 16, 2023 got both done this morning... C19 Booster in the left and Flu Shot in the right... feeling a bit sore in both arms right now, but otherwise great. Couple weeks for it to take full effect, but I'm glad to have some protection as the nasty season hits us... Mark H. and JCon 2
FrostyWinnipeg Posted October 17, 2023 Report Posted October 17, 2023 Same old, same old, get boosted...sick next day! 🤷♂️
Noeller Posted October 17, 2023 Report Posted October 17, 2023 thankful for no super-negative reaction so far, but my arm is crazy sore. Have heard of that reaction, but never had it in the past. Apparently if you tense up your arm too tight while they're injecting you, it can happen. So maybe...? But if that's the worst of it, I'll gladly take it to be protected through this craziness. If there really is a link between tensing your arm and getting soreness, you would think they would tell you. Or maybe they do? Pretty much the only reaction I've had is some arm soreness. Felt like someone gave me a charley horse. Might have felt a slight fever the day after and a headache. Guess I need to learn my lesson and not flex like Arnold whenever I roll up my sleeve. bustamente Posted October 17, 2023 Report Posted October 17, 2023 I've had 5 shots and each time the person administrating the shot told me to relax the arm, just a little sore at the injection site is what I've experienced. Wife on the other hand gets sick like clockwork the next day WildPath and Noeller 2

I wanted 2 shots in the same arm. That may or may not have been a good decision. I got my shots 2 days ago but my right arm was extremely sore yesterday. Today, all fine. No soreness or feeling sick. Good to go.
the watcher Posted November 3, 2023 Report Posted November 3, 2023 Went for a flu shot and got the flu shot, covid shot and pneumonia shot.....Yup, I'm a human pin cushion. Sard 1
WinnipegGordo Posted November 3, 2023 Report Posted November 3, 2023 If people are looking for an option to get their flu/ covid shots check out Safeway. On Monday I got an appointment for Weds. I got both shots in my left arm since Im right handed but the shoulder was sore yesterday.
the watcher Posted November 3, 2023 Report Posted November 3, 2023 It's good to see the clinics are busy. We were at our closest small towns clinic set up in the hall. They said it had been busy the whole time. Some of the workers said they were in Sanford the day before and were so busy they ran out of shots. I was a bit worried the public was getting " vaccination tired " but apparently not. Wideleft 1
Sard Posted November 3, 2023 Report Posted November 3, 2023 Just went at lunch to get my flu and Covid shots. Sobey's on St. Anne's seemed to be well stocked if anyone is looking for a place to go.
BaconNBigBlue Posted November 3, 2023 Report Posted November 3, 2023 Booked for my next Covid booster towards the end of November. I normally get a sore arm so I'm hoping the same thing again this time. When I got my shingles vaccine, I was crazy sick for almost 2 days. The hardest hit I've been from any vaccine I've received in my life.

SpeedFlex27 Posted November 3, 2023 Report Posted November 3, 2023 Since I got my flu & Covid shots in the middle of October, I've been to the Doobie Bros concert at the Saddledome, Then flew to & from Seattle in two crowded planes. Dealt with big crowds at the Seattle airport & went to the Seahawks-Browns game last Sunday at Lumen Field. So far, so good. I'd have been hesitant to do most of those things without being vaccinated. I try to wash my hands with hand sanitizer as much as I can. MOBomberFan and the watcher 2

Used hand sanitizer as often as possible. Washed our hands before going to the buffets. Also brought disposable gloves to use at the buffet so we didn't have to touch the tongs with who knows what may be on them. Worked out well and no issues. SpeedFlex27 1
