Mr Dee Posted August 10, 2020 Report Posted August 10, 2020 I still don’t see why the number 1 draft pick is available only to the teams that missed the playoffs. Whose idea was this? (And @SpeedFlex27 don’t say it was Ambrosie’s) 😁
rebusrankin Posted August 10, 2020 Report Posted August 10, 2020 Well at least its not Edmonton, Toronto and Pittsburgh because screw them and their fans. At least its not Nashville or Minnesota because same division. So any good Centre prospects?
iHeart Posted August 10, 2020 Report Posted August 10, 2020 I do recall seeing the Rangers ball get put in the machine before Bettman confirmed it, but there's not hing against that in the regulations there I think. Did Bettman lose weight or grow his hair out?
Noeller Posted August 10, 2020 Report Posted August 10, 2020 The Rags winning it is every bit as bad as Pitt or Toronto. Gross. This feels like such a win for Bettman...needs elite players in the only markets he thinks matter. Fart noises.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted August 10, 2020 Author Report Posted August 10, 2020 (edited) Outside of Jets I’d be happy for FLA or MINN. Kinda feel bad about tanking to Calgary now Edited August 10, 2020 by FrostyWinnipeg
HardCoreBlue Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 10th pick. I assume we select a top prospect D?
FrostyWinnipeg Posted August 11, 2020 Author Report Posted August 11, 2020 (edited) TOP RATED D 3. Jamie Drysdale, 5.11" 175lbs 4. Jake Sanderson, 6.1" 186 8. Guhle, Kaiden, 6.2" 186 9. Schneider, Braden, 6.2" 202 15. Barron, Justin, 6.2" 195 FWIW the biggest dman in the draft Edited August 11, 2020 by FrostyWinnipeg HardCoreBlue and Floyd 1 1

Whose idea was this? (And @SpeedFlex27 don’t say it was Ambrosie’s) 😁 I don't understand your question. 1. It was Ambrosie's fault. We all know it. 2. The lottery happened but the teams that made the qualifying round couldn't be slotted into their position. So, not all the draft positions were known. An "unknown" position won the lottery. Now, you can't have a team tank out to get the number one overall pick, so they tossed all the qualifiers into a hat. Everyone getting an equal chance. This was not predetermined prior to the initial draft. 3. Ambrosie fixed it so the Rangers won, which means it's his fault. How he has sway in the NHL is unknown but I'm certain Bettman and Ambrosie are part of a secret Commish cult. Manfred is a Grand Poobah in this cult. blue_gold_84 and Floyd 1 1
blue_gold_84 Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 (edited) I think Ambrosie did it to curry favour with Bettman so they can have another outdoor game at a CFL venue, which will of course save the CFL with a massive payday and make Randy Bo Bandy the greatest CFL commish evah and Bettman some sort of Canadian football folk hero. This in turn will enrage Wade Miller, who no doubt has CFL commissioner aspirations, and he'll take it out on Walters and O'Shea, effectively ending the Canadian Mafia, much to the delight of Dave Dickenson. /s In all seriousness, though, it was just pure chance the Rangers got the first overall pick. Of course it's a win for the league and a big market in the Big Apple but I don't think any shenanigans were afoot. As for the Jets, taking a defenseman or a centre at 10th overall seems like a no brainer. Sanderson or Guhle would be nice adds on the blue line; Perfetti, Lundell, or Mercer would be nice adds down the middle. Stickem Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 Why can't a simple draw take place without a hitch...This guy with the balls drops the Rangers ball before he was supposed to....bringing it back up to do it properly with his finger and magically the Rangers ball comes up as the winner.... Rangers ball the only one that was mishandled...I want a redraw LOL ..(like that's gonna happen)...A lot of people are left wondering ...were there any shenanigans in the process????Call me a little skeptical but I didn't like the way that came off
FrostyWinnipeg Posted August 11, 2020 Author Report Posted August 11, 2020 If the season had ended, no restart, the Jets did win the lottery right?

rebusrankin Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 So the leafs traded their pick, number 13 overall to get out of Marleau's contract. To that I say blue_gold_84 1
Mr Dee Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 This is a pretty good 1st round drafting list.. blue_gold_84, JCon and HardCoreBlue 1 2
Brandon Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 Good track record with exception of Stanley and Vesalainen. Great steal on Connor at that late.
Mr Dee Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 (edited) I think a lot of us felt that way.. Edited August 13, 2020 by Mr Dee JCon 1
Goalie Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 Id hope BPA is a center. Anton Lundell is preferred. Zary or Rossi be ok also. D? Only guy i think is worth it is Jake Sanderson or Drysdale but both will likely be gone. Id look at 2 center here tho. Should be a few guys at 10.
Goalie Posted September 21, 2020 Report Posted September 21, 2020 Heres a name.. Ill give you 3. I don't think they like Lundell.. Hes being compared to Zacha aka hes a bust.. Jake Sanderson. D. Hendrix Lapierre. C. Seth Jarvis. C/RW. Jets prob hoping for a guy who falls like Cole Perfetti or Rossi.. I think they would sprint to grab Sanderson tho. BPA tho.. Its what they have done outside of the Laine draft where they took a swing and miss on Stanley
JCon Posted September 21, 2020 Report Posted September 21, 2020 (edited) They'll probably go for Jarvis if he's still there. EDIT: If Lundell is still on the board, they may take another Finn. Finnipeg. Edited September 21, 2020 by JCon
