A 6th or 7th CFL pick maybe, but every NFL mock draft I've seen, has him going late 1st.

I haven't seen him in the top half of the draft or top 5 RB all year. Maybe, his pro day will help.

Yep, every draft profile I've seen for him has him going on Day 3.  That stuff was written pre-pro day but impressive testing won't be enough to move up enough to be a 1st round pick (imo).

Even with the improved 40 speed, can't see Hubbard going before round 4 in the NFL draft. Lots of backs higher rated so far.

he should have stayed in for his senior year.

NELSON LOKOMBO

DB | SASKATCHEWAN

The Bombers steal the Saskatchewan Huskies product after the Riders focus on pass protection and scoop up the 2019 U SPORTS Defensive Player Of The Year. Nelson’s natural CFL fit – despite being slightly undersized – is at free safety. While Winnipeg is predominantly American on the back end, he can earn his reps on special teams alongside the Hallett brothers as Nick and Noah stand alone waving the maple leaf in the Bombers’ secondary.

Kinda meh on that mock draft. I dont think the riders pass on lokombo, and I dont think we use a 3rd and 4th rounder on ni ol unless they can return to college for another year. Even then I think we lean more towards restocking NI wr, lb/db teams guys. I like the nick cross projection I think thats our type of guy. I think we grab ben hladik if the riders grab lokombo ahead of us.

Having a canadian who can rotate with kongbo should he be back would be huge.

Unless there's someone really dynamite available to us early, I have a feeling we take a lot of futures picks this year, just because there would be too many new rookies (including last year's draft class) to evaluate in a shortened training camp this year. Now, certainly, you shouldn't bypass a great talent just because of that, but I could see them taking futures vs something middling....

He should be more interested in his aged mom's empty kitchen cabinets.

Area of need are DB and DL. Lots of DBs on top 25, DL not so much. Is there a chance Kongbo will be back?

Cant go wrong on restocking the OL and I dont mind getting a future pick here.

hes been with out a contract since august down south.  And the NFL draft is tomorrow bringing in a huge batch of new athletic tweeners. Some one else was talking about it a while ago too. Id bet that he will be back in the cfl in 2021.

Booch, who is pretty connected, has said that Kongbo is likely to be back with the Bombers....

it only makes sense that he returns at this point. He was really starting to blossom as a pass rusher here late in the last season. Hes still very young, 25 ish, and doesnt seem likely to get another NFL deal. The only issue I can see with him returning here is jeffcoat and WJ eat up a lot of reps. But they seemed to really make it work in the stretch with using 3 de's and moving them around a lot. He would certainly get more reps with some other teams but maybe not be in as good a position.

The nfl will want to see a high level of sacks per snap he plays, and rotating which he would in the nfl any way, gives him the best chance to do that.

Draft is tomorrow at 6pm (Central)  and, unlike the Global Punter Draft, this should be an interesting one.

I was just so happy to see content in this forum...ha ha ha. I AM ******* PUMPED FOR TOMORROW!!

I'm so excited that I'm suffering through the 3Downnation live mock draft podcast. It's painful but not as painful as missing an entire season.

This. I only made it a couple minutes.  Why couldnt we have a pre draft show with bob, brown, tait etc.

Those guys don't follow the incoming players at all. They wouldn't have a clue. I'd take one from Lalji and Forde, tho.... Actual professional broadcasters (no ******* bloggers) talking about something they actually know about.
