kelownabomberfan Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 Be interesting if we could get Brock Nelson on board. He's Dave Christian's nephew. Goalie 1
Goalie Posted March 1 Report Posted March 1 (edited) Ehlers is a pending ufa so he’s not worth equal or greater value. He’s worth a 1st and prospect or a dude on an expiring ufa contract who might be a better fit. Maybe Ehlers for Boeser, probably fair value. Nelson would be tremendous and being from near by Warroad Minnesota, there’s a chance he’d sign a new deal. Edited March 1 by Goalie Noeller 1
Goalie Posted March 1 Report Posted March 1 (edited) Boeser has 11 goals, 12 assists and a plus-minus of +1 in 29 games in the playoffs in his career. Ehlers has 4 goals, 10 assists and a plus-minus of -9 in 37 games in the playoffs in his career. If it’s about playoffs. Boeser probably signs here also. Jets have been big fans of his going back. Goalie Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 I’d take Risto for 2 years at 5.1 over pionk at 6 or 7 years x 7 million plus. FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted Tuesday at 12:41 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 12:41 AM Jets linked to mikko rantanen. The idea would be to move to playoff struggler Ehlers for him. I saw Ehlers plus kupari for rantanen. I mean If both going ufa it makes sense. but https://www.thefourthperiod.com/trade-watch-list-2025-x5 take it for what it’s worth really iHeart 1

Goalie Posted Thursday at 05:50 PM Report Posted Thursday at 05:50 PM All the credible insiders saying jets going after Brock Nelson and if he’s not available they will just add some depth. Wouldn’t surprise me if a guy like Ferraro from SJ is moved here. He’s a better LHD than our depth.
Goalie Posted Thursday at 08:00 PM Report Posted Thursday at 08:00 PM (edited) A large part of me feels Chevy pulls off something completely out of left field like a guy nobody sees coming or a guy who isn’t even on the trade board. The other part of me feels we just add a depth 3lhd like Ferraro but with kupari in protocol I’d imagine we see a few moves. Edited Thursday at 08:02 PM by Goalie
Goalie Posted Thursday at 08:34 PM Report Posted Thursday at 08:34 PM Jets trade kappo kahkonnen to Florida for Chris Drieger. Drieger from Winnipeg. This is an ahl deal tho.
HardCoreBlue Posted Thursday at 08:36 PM Report Posted Thursday at 08:36 PM I heard Dustin Byfuglien was keeping in great hockey shape and was coming back to the fold in time for the playoffs but then I woke up. He had his moments but boy do we ever miss him on our D. No one has filled that void since he left. Imagine having him in our lineup right now at his peak. Goalie 1

Dude, when I say "that man is living my dream life" I couldn't speak a more truthful statement. There is nothing else I want in life than what he has.

You have to wonder why players wouldn't want to come to Winnipeg for a Stanley Cup run. We're talking, depending upon how deep the run is, 2-3 months max.

I think Scott Arniel was his linemate. Not so sure about that. Christian did put up some good numbers but he wasn't here all that long (just over 3 seasons) and was more than happy to get out of here at the first opportunity. He was pretty open about it when we traded him to Washington. He had a far longer career with the Caps than he did here. His time with Arniel as a team mate did briefly overlap but they rarely played on a line together. Christian was mostly with Dave Babych and a rotating 3rd player (mainly Luchowich, MacLean or DeBlois) while Arniel was with Smail/Boschman/Watters. Christian did get the only assist on Arniel's first ever NHL goal so they did have some brief spots together.
Goalie Posted Friday at 02:43 PM Report Posted Friday at 02:43 PM (edited) Winnipeg has the perception and perception is reality. But honestly. I feel like a few gms have overpaid and I’m glad Chevy didn’t give up a yager or lambert like Colorado did with Ritchie. We grabbed Monahan Toffoli and miller last year. It didn’t help so I’m ok with just depth moves. Jets 1st overall despite what tsn says. Right now Dallas plays Colorado rd 1. Edited Friday at 02:45 PM by Goalie
