FrostyWinnipeg Posted Sunday at 01:17 AM Author Report Posted Sunday at 01:17 AM (edited) https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/jets-arniel-provides-injury-updates-on-pionk-vilardi/ The big story here - McIntyre also reported that Arniel gave a less-than-encouraging update on forward Gabriel Vilardi, who has missed Winnipeg's last two games. "It's not one of those ones where it's an automatic four-to-six. He's a ways away," Arniel said. "He's a way from even trying to get into the weight room right now. He's more on just getting better." iHeart Posted Monday at 12:07 AM Report Posted Monday at 12:07 AM so that's why Driedger was projected as a backup earlier today
HardCoreBlue Posted yesterday at 06:38 PM Report Posted yesterday at 06:38 PM If the Jets don't win the Cup this year (which we all want them to win), what do they need to do this post season to label this 2024/2025 season campaign a success with lots of confidence heading into the 2025/2026 campaign? Lose first round in seven games? Win first round but lose in the second round? Make it to the Conference finals but lose? Make it to the Stanley Cup finals but lose? Only winning the Cup can they label this 2024/2025 season campaign a success? I go back and forth from losing in the Conference finals to losing in the Stanley Cup finals to deem this campaign pretty successful with optimism for next year.
Goalie Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Win a round and I’m happy. Show some legit progress. The cup would be nice but that’s probably in reality fantasy land talk. A cup win would be the biggest moment in Winnipeg sports history. It would be huge. Would change the nhl a bit. I’m cheering for that but not expecting it. Win a round. And when you do lose go out fighting not giving up. If it’s 6 0 with 2 minutes left I wanna see guys busting their balls to the end. This team has given up in the past. I don’t want to see that. Win a round tho. Then win another round. Then another. Then beat Maurice in the finals. Edited 23 hours ago by Goalie rebusrankin 1

Noeller Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago I just personally don't think a Canadian team will ever win the cup again. It doesn't benefit the league in any way, so I feel like things will be stacked against Canadian teams always. It would be a complete and total fluke against impossible odds. rebusrankin, Piggy 1 and Goalie 2 1
FrostyWinnipeg Posted 22 hours ago Author Report Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Not losing 4 in the playoffs is the low bar. Edited 22 hours ago by FrostyWinnipeg

The Oilers have had years to make the changes required...

Noeller Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago They have arguably the two best players in the world, but aside from that......? No goaltending, approximately 2 D and virtually no depth. They definitely got on a heater last year, but yet again, no dice. It's going to take some kind of other world miracle for a Canadian team to ever win a Cup again... Piggy 1 and HardCoreBlue 1 1
