17to85 Posted October 22, 2021 Report Posted October 22, 2021 Has anyone been at the level of Doug Flutie? Noeller, rebusrankin, wbbfan and 1 other 1 3
Noeller Posted October 22, 2021 Author Report Posted October 22, 2021 The argument I keep reading online is that Flutie didn't play in Calgary long enough, but even while he was there, he was miles ahead of anything BLM has ever done. Colin Unger 1
Geebrr Posted October 22, 2021 Report Posted October 22, 2021 I don't even think he is as good as his coach was. Bubba Zanetti, Noeller and 17to85 3

Geebrr Posted October 22, 2021 Report Posted October 22, 2021 I would flip Garcia and Dickenson as well. Calgary has been ridiculously spoiled with QBs for 30 years. Which likely means they know what they're doing. Noeller and GCJenks 2

rebusrankin Posted October 22, 2021 Report Posted October 22, 2021 I'd really like to see the names of these 5-6 key Stamps. As for QBs, Calgary went Flutie-Garcia-Dickenson (Burris was Dickenson's back up then left) which is wow followed by Burris-BLM. Edmonton went Wilkerson-Moon-Dunigan-Allen-Ham with I believe the later three all rostered together. Noeller 1

Whoa, that's worse than Edmonton who have basically lost any chance to get to the big game already. These guys have a legitimate shot. I think that Flutie is talking about longevity as Mitchell has had 8+ seasons as a starter & is 2-2 in the Grey Cup. 6 hours ago, Brandon said: Hey works out better for us if we have to play them in the play offs... 5 - 6 guys missing from the starting line up is a huge blow to any team. Pretty selfish if these guys screw the season for their teammates & fans. I'd cut or trade them in the off season if that happens. Good riddance. They should be named since they're ******* over everyone else. Of course, we'll find out anyway. BTW, Stamps receiver Josh Huff is a healthy scratch for tomorrow's game. When asked why, Dickenson bristled with a reply saying it was a coaches decison & to leave it at that. Maybe he's one of the players & they want to work someone else into that position. Dickenson sure sounded unhappy. Edited October 23, 2021 by SpeedFlex27 coach17, wbbfan and Noeller 3

rebusrankin Posted October 23, 2021 Report Posted October 23, 2021 Fairly certain it has long been established that losing the penalty battle leads to losing more often than not, same as losing the turnover and time of possession battle.
17to85 Posted October 23, 2021 Report Posted October 23, 2021 It's free yardage and often at big moments. You can see it with the Bombers those times they start taking penalties... the team gets bigger down and struggles. To me it's really easy to cut back on penalties, you hold player accountable either by fines or playing time. They will clue in pretty quick. wbbfan, JCon and wpgallday1960 1 2
JuranBoldenRules Posted October 23, 2021 Report Posted October 23, 2021 It's hard to understand the state of denial the Riders Dickenson is in RE penalties. Penalties: -Cost you field position -Keep your defense on the field -Take your offense off the field These outcomes take points off the board for your team and set the other team up to score points. They only contribute to losing, if you win you've overcome these deficits and you probably aren't facing an equal opponent or your opponent has also hurt themselves with penalties and turnovers.
