We must be in pretty good shape if fans are complaining about picking up a 6th round pick instead of a fourth round pick. wbbfan and Noeller 1 1

If Lawler resigns though I think he's got what it takes. Plus you see what they bring into camp and go from there. Would be nice to get another grade A guy - but I think we can survive with our current group and lawler SpeedFlex27 1

Noeller Posted January 31, 2021 Author Report Posted January 31, 2021 Love the crying over the Speller trade... Walters is the league's best GM by a mile and we're gonna complain about 6th round vs 4th round picks. Shut the actual f*ck up.... wbbfan, Zach Schnitzer, SpeedFlex27 and 1 other 3 1

Otherwise they got a 4th rounder for 2 players that can be game changers.....thats what you consider good?
Dr Zaius Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Toronto just rebuilt half their team by giving up nothing. Wow. I like this trade for them. Bigblue204 1
Bubba Zanetti Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) I dont understand this trade from Calgary's perspective. Two garbage picks. It looks terrible. Am i missing something?? Edited January 31, 2021 by Bubba Zanetti Bigblue204 and rebusrankin 2
MOBomberFan Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 All three were pending FA. CGY gets picks in return for 3 players they weren't going to retain anyhow. TOR gets exclusive negotiation rights with these 3 players for a whopping 18 hours. CGY turns nothing into something while TOR has no guarantee these guys won't test FA... TBURGESS and bearpants 2

Surprised they didnt even want to make an attempt. Edited January 31, 2021 by Bubba Zanetti
MOBomberFan Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 I don't know about Law and Daniel, but if you believe what you read on 3DN then CGY wasn't giving Rogers what he was asking for, so he was headed for FA
MOBomberFan Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 I was just about to suggest a trade was in the works that would get Arbuckle and Rogers together in TOR and Matty Ice back to LaPo in OTT... so much for that idea
Dr Zaius Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Arbuckle to Toronto as a FA, Nichols to Ottawa as a FA. I'm surprised Nichols wasn't willing to re-structure for some security. blue_gold_84, MOBomberFan, rebusrankin and 1 other 1 3

Stickem Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Nichols and Lapo makes sense....Ottawa still needs a lot of help .....hello Lawler and or Petermann...Kind of wondering about Richardson on our end as well
rebusrankin Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 I get Peterman going to Ottawa due to it being his home province and the chance to start but why Lawler?

Noeller Posted January 31, 2021 Author Report Posted January 31, 2021 Any Bombers offense FA's going to Ottawa makes a ton of sense. If they like Lapo, then why not? And absolutely if Arbuckle doesn't sign in OTT, then Matty Ice will head that way. Regarding Burnham to the Bombers... I'd feel more confident with that of we had Ryan Rigmaiden still...

TBURGESS Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Even Toronto disses Nichols. Haven't they looked at his stats that one year when he looked competent? Queue Less Nessman... Oh the humanity!

I'm guessing like me, you haven't been paying attention to their moves. They have the making of a solid oline...already have a decent rec group, that might now include rogers. They're not as unappealing as they were pre covid. coach17, JCon and wbbfan 3

Queue Less Nessman... Oh the humanity! Quote veteran passer was due a $220,000 bonus on February 1. As much as I spread the word on how Nichols is done.... it's a no brainer to cut him before that bonus. They can always sign him again afterwards since his options will be very limited. wbbfan 1
