Trump's Rallies Didn't Pay Off For Him At The Polls, According To Data

President Donald Trump’s largely maskless campaign rallies may have boosted the spread of COVID-19, but they didn’t serve Trump well at the polls,  according to aballot analysis by NBC News.

.... Trump held 30 campaign rallies the final two weeks before the election in states from Arizona to Nebraska to Pennsylvania, NBC noted. Trump won larger victory margins than he did in 2016 in just five of the counties. In the rest, his negative margins grew and his positive margins shrunk, so much so that some counties flipped blue.

What the rallies did accomplish was to increase COVID-19 infections, according to research from Stanford University. The research conservatively tied Trump’s rallies to at least 700 deaths — and counting. Some 30,000 people became sick with the virus because of the rallies and may face lifelong health problems.

Fox News host claims Trump no longer needs to prove his case in court to overturn the election

A Fox News host argued that President Donald Trump doesn't even need to prove his case in court to overturn his election loss.

"Fox & Friends Weekend" host Will Cain told viewers that Trump may have failed to prove his legal challenges, but he said the president still had another avenue to maintain his grip on power.

"I think what's happening here [is] we are quickly moving toward a political case being made," Cain said. "Meaning the Trump team is talking to state legislatures in Michigan, Pennsylvania, attempting to make their case. There may not be enough evidence for a court system but there should be enough evidence for state legislators to change their electors. Will they find more success there? We'll soon find out."

MAGA!

Such a waste of time trying to argue with these Trump supporters. They can’t be reasoned with, bargained with, ever convinced that they are completely wrong in their beliefs, and unwilling to accept logic and cold hard facts. Biden and the Democrats need to realize this and honestly stop trying to placate them with “unite the country” talk. I find it hard to see anything redeemable about the Republican Party, so burn it to the ground while you have the liberal numbers. Kill the electoral college, eliminate gerrymandering, stack the Supreme Court. Republicans manipulated the rules without apology to their benefit and never sweated the fallout because these are their followers and they know people’s attention spans are too short for there to be repercussions. Time to bury this hateful segment of America once and for all.

Monday rant over.

The current GOP is not the problem- just a symptom of an endemic set of values and beliefs subscribed to by almost half the country and most of the rich and powerful. When your Supreme Court rules that corporations are people and have the same rights, you are boned.

How any senator gets to play the stock market given potential conflict of interest or potential for insider trading abuse is beyond me, but her husband is literally the chairman of the NYSE, how is this not an immediate conflict the moment she plays the market?

It's not illegal if you don't get caught.
