After 27 games we've reached the middle of the season so it's time for the annual mid-season review.

Exceeded Expectations

Ehlers - continuing his performance from the playoffs

Stanley - whoda thunk we'd live to see this?

Appleton - the new Roslo

Lewis - a 4th line UFA that actually can play?

Forbort - another good UFA signing that has saved the LHD from being utter crap

Copp - started out great but fallen back lately

Meeting Expectations

KConn, Scheif, Wheeler, Stastny, Lowry, Perreault, Pionk, Poolman, Beaulieu, Helle, Brossy

Dubois - This was a tough one. Very much flip a coin. Had signs of brilliance at times but others times I understand why Torts had problems with him. Since he has not played worse since coming here from CBJ I'll give him a pass..

Below Expectations

Morrissey, DeMelo - The two guys who we thought were the best at each side may be the worst at each side. Morrissey looks injured at times. I've mentally traded him several times now.

Harkins - Where is that young fellow from a year ago? Does not help that Thomson is played over him. Granted that's PaMa but that's also on Harkins.

Not Worthy of a Review

Niku, Vesa, Gus

Thompson playing over Harkins has absolutely nothing to do with Harkins.  That’s all Maurice.  Thompson shouldn’t be playing over anyone, let alone young talented players like Harkins or Gustafsson.
