Not He has worked his ass off and it had him leading the league in yards. Let himself down, let his team down, lets the organization and fans down. Where his life goes from here will depend what he does next. If he has NFL plans this is a serious strike. Noeller, Bigblue204 and Tracker 1 2

17to85 Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Aye yi yi. That's a bad look for someone establishing himself as a top player in the game. Good on the team for not tolerating it and hopefully this can be a growth moment for Lawler. Bigblue204, Noeller and rebusrankin 3
bustamente Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Admitting you have a problem is the first step to getting back on track, get the help you need, and get back to playing football Noeller and Nolby 2
SpeedFlex27 Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Everybody makes a mistake. Lawler has let everyone down. Bad, bad judgement call on his part. Not only did he get a DUI but he violated league mandated Covid 19 protocols. He may sit out longer than a single game. We'll see.
blue_gold_84 Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Ugh, that's some craptacular news. He's been such a stud. I hope he gets the help he needs and can return a better person.

Arnold_Palmer Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Now that I’ve had time to absorb the information.. let’s remember that we’re all human and we make mistakes. Demonizing someone does us no good. Let’s hope he learns his lesson and comes back a better man. He needs support and we should give it to him. Selfishly I was angry because of the effect on the team and Ofcourse his wreck less decision but staying angry does no good and he needs support. Jesse, Mark F, Noeller and 2 others 5
BomberBall Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Lots of talk about it being a bad decision based on his career…. How about what it could have done to his life or someone else’s? I hope he learns from this. blue_gold_84, JCon and Noeller 3
Tracker Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 One mistake does not necessarily define our lives, but his football career will come and go one way or another. His life after football is far more important and I hope this will be a wakeup call for him to assess his choices and move in in strength. Noeller and Bigblue204 2
Nolby Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 What a monster mistake. It's good to admit you have a problem but admit if before you decide to drive,no excuses to be behind the wheel while intoxicated.
Booch Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Yup..I'm sure he knows he effed up and took responsibility...learn from this and sit your game and come back better. And we don't know if he broke covid protocol..he could have had a few drinks at a restaurant and not been at a night club...and he could have been only slighty over limit too...which still isn't right but this doesn't mean he was slobbering and stumbling around...I would hope the extent of the blood level will be released and show this. Not the first time an athlete done this..sadly won't be the last but the dude hasn't had a history of trouble so anything more than a game suspension is adequate... Noeller 1
Noeller Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Could very easily have been at a teammates house, had one or two beers and drove home. Barely over, but still over. We don't know for sure what happened. Jesse, Bigblue204 and Nolby 3

Doublezero Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 Remains to be seen whether Lawler has an alcohol problem. But he definitely has a legal problem. If convicted, he could be deemed inadmissible to Canada https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=152

Brandon Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 This is a massive disappointment and poor timing. Had he DUI'd last week we could of at least suspended him for the season and then bring in Duke to replace him. The guy really let his team down, it's not hard to call a cab if you've had a drink or three. Jesse 1

He was able to get Kyres Hebert into Canada.
