If ripping off a helmet ISNT an automatic DQ, Suitor and others here need to STHU

Fair enough but if ripping off an opposing players helmet after the whistle is blown is not an automatic dq it should be. Dangerous act even seen thru my blue and gold glasses.

Multiple helmets have been ripped off after every play.

When Liegghio was coming off the field, he looked defeated. God knows he has the talent, but maybe not the mental toughness for this game. Too bad- seems like a likeable kid.

It's a rivalry game.. a back to back. Emotions are high. Helmets come off all the time... punching players tho = attempt to injure = DQ

A guys helmet coming off Is not the same.

God dammit Legs... take those legs and take a walk outta here

Lirim would look good.

Honestly we had no business kicking that long fg though. That wind is knocking every thing down. But missing singles come on.

We are getting killed in field position. Legs is smashing the ball and they are getting insane yards on kr. 48 per punt net of 27.

The runs on 2nd and short have killed us. We aren't adjusting to their gap cancelation.

Genuine curiosity, do you really see guys rip each other’s helmets off by their face mask after the play frequently? Does that happen all the time?

Legs looks nervous every time he is out there. Needs to take some centering and breathing lessons. Taking something like Karate might help him. Until he learns to calm down he is a liability.

Ironically if he was a veteran going thru a funk like this there would be more patience shown but he’s not a veteran and he’s not producing so next man up. It’s a cruel business.

Passion makes people do strange things.

This from CFL rule book:

Article 2 — Rough Play

A player shall be penalized and subject to disqualification for any act of rough play against an opponent, including but not limited to:

  1. striking an opponent with the fist, hand, knee, elbow or helmet in an excessively rough manner,
  2. kicking an opponent or,
  3. any other act of excessive roughness considered by the Referee to warrant disqualification

First bolded is why the 2 sask players were tossed. No mention of helmet removal. So 2nd bolded means basically its at the referees discretion if the helmet removal warrants a disqualification.

I dont recall a disqualification for ripping off a helmet.

I think bombers maybe a bit too confident before this game.

specially some of the  guys on D.

Why are u still on this? U ignore the actual disqualifications aka the punches or attempt to injure.

That is why the 2 riders are out.. they threw punches. Several helmets were on the ground in that scrum... the camera suitor and viewer only saw the one. Bottom line tho.. there were 4 or 5 helmets ripped off in that brawl.
