Harris runs and Zac is on target.....
....to Adams, Bailey, and Woltman.....
...down to the Elks 9
Zac rolls out.....finds Adams all alone in the end zone
TD!  But Elks challenge for offensive PI......
....win the challenge....on a bush league call...on Adams
Zac is undeterred.   He simply hoists one up to Adams again.....
...the double coverage closes too late! TD! 
Mourtada shows good form on the extra point!
Lovely 80 yard drive to start things off
Suitor pumping up this XFL QB star, Cornelius
Zac throws passes to Bailey and Adams...to Elks 30
Demski takes it up the middle.... spins off a couple of hits....
... takes it into the end zone..... for 30 yard TD run!
Another convert from Mourtada....awesome.....
14-0.  This touted Elks D.... looking like fresh meat....
Cornelius throws more incompletes.....
Nelson returns punt sideways for 0 yards....
.....this guy really needs to go straight......down the highway...
Bailey busts hitch pass down the sideline for 30 yards..
Zac has Adams in the endzone, but under throws it...
...as DB undercuts Adams and picks it off......ouch.
Cornelius has time...completes some passes....
Bombers had the ball 10 minutes in 1st quarter
Suitor goes from pumping to gushing....about Cornelius...
Jeffcoat destroys attempted receiver sweep.....-6 yds
Cornelius complete to Walker....ball knocked loose by Alford
.....Briggs recovers fumble for the turnover....
Deep in Bomber end.....Zac is trapped....does not take the sack...
.....hit, then fumbles.....Elks recover on the Bomber 9
Wilder finds a hole....trucks Alford....then in for the score.....
This laugher...... is becoming somewhat less amusing  14-7 Blue
2 Bomber turnovers already....
Awkward reverse.....Nelson to Augustine goes nowhere....
...which pretty well sums up our return game.
Harris runs into run blitz.....so Zac pops screen pass to him...
.....as Harris rumbles for 35 yards.   Elks blitzing a lot.
Demski takes 2nd down pass, breaks tackle for good gain
Screen to Bailey, run by Harris has the ball on Elks 20.
Drive stalls......Mourtada misses 27 yard FG attempt...
Cornelius hits Walker with nice pass to Blue 50
Surprising lack of pressure from Bomber pass rush.....
White comes in and nails 44 yd FG.  15-10 Bombers
Cornelius scrambles for 15....then finds Ellington wide open...
...down to Bomber 15.  Wilder up the middle.....
....through some shoddy tackling for the TD..
Bomber D looking shaky on that drive  16-15 Elks.
Zac hits Bailey down the middle to Elks 50
Harris runs into another run blitz.  Lots of 9 man fronts...
Mourtada's 50 yd FG attempt isn't even close......bah.
Cornelius telegraphs out pattern....Alford jumps pattern.....
....he has the pick .....easy 20 INT return for the touchdown!!
23-16 Bombers.....man, we needed that.....
Wilder wide open in flat...good gain....plus BS roughing penalty..
Cornelius still getting time....hits hook pass to Blue 25
Hanson knocks down pass on 2nd down.   White 35 yard FG.
Bombers get it to Elks 37.  Mourtada with 44 yard try....
....which....MISSES BY A MILE.   0-3 now.   ok.....next.
Cornelius tries to scramble out of end zone....not protecting ball...
....Willie J. strips the ball out.....Bighill picks it up and dives into endzone!!
Another defensive TD...another convert......30-19.  Breathe.....
Leggo shanks punt...out of bounds...called for illegal kick....
This Bomber kicking game is currently murder on my liver...
Backup Elk QB runs for 45 yards against more shoddy tackling...
Jones knocks down pass on 2nd down......White with 19 yd FG..
Bailey cut down on flat pass, Zac throws incomplete.....
Bomber offense is stuck in neutral, this half....
Demski 10 yd catch...Harris bursts up middle for 25 yards
Harris for 4....Elks take dumb roughing penalty....ball on Elks 13
Zac loops it up to Wolt in the end zone.  Obvious PI on Rose
Ball on the 1  McGuire does his thing.  TD.  That should do it....
Perfect on extra points, anyways......36-22 for the champs....
Need 3 roster spaces - 1 guy punting, 1 guy XP's and another for FG's
Cornelius throws it out to nobody in particular....Nichols with the pick....
Bomber O kills some time.....Nichols knocks down pass.....guy is a keeper...
Cornelius chucks up long pass, and its intercepted by Alford..
Suitor still dribbling on about how he "likes what he sees" in Cornelius
TSN feed goes kaka.....Drunk TSN Camera Man puts in guest apperance....
Bombers line up in 6 and 1 victory formation.....
Could play better but did enough to get the job done
Could drink more....but did enough to get it done

I am not going to get too down on legs for the punt out of bounds he did all he could to get that one away without it being blocked. 

 

Never thought I would have to say this ofna mike oshea team, but special teams are a huge handicap this season and need work in a lot of areas.

Agreed, but if the talent and mindset are not there, its gonna be a struggle.

My thoughts exactly. Have we also done any razzle dazzle plays on special teams this season? I used to love the creative fakes, I won’t count that little toss on the kick off last night as it was poorly executed.

Never mind razzle dazzle....would settle for at least gimmie field goals and some semblance of successful kick returns..........

IF we don't straighten this out it sure as heck will come back and bite us......The word is that Grant is ready and likely to return (hope that's the case)...so we should be alright there BUT the kicking game is a work in progress....We better progress in a heluva hurry by the results and look of our last outing

Let's hope that Kyle is burning up the phone lines right now trying to find someone, anyone, out there that is available that can come at least within a $10 Uber ride of the middle of the goal posts.  Mourtada murdered our kicking game.  I would have preferred Legs out there against Edmonton, at least he'd be getting in-game field goal experience.

That is a tough call. Sometimes if an athlete is struggling, pulling him/her out for a bit allows for a reset of the mind. Leaving him/her in can really screw up a struggling athlete.
