He is quickly moving up the ladder in our wonderful history of QB's. 1b: online. What a dominant group. They play as one unit. Smart, nasty and just strong. 2: Kenny Law. Showed everyone how good his hands and route running is. Coming into his own this year. Guy is a stud. 3: really could go to a few guys on d. Going with Alford, kid just keeps getting better, he played with an edge tonight not seen yet, his confidence is showing. Similar body type to Rose and is shows no fear in laying into a tackle, gotta rap up though. HM: Ali. 3 for 3 is 3 for 3, who cares how short they were. He nailed every fg and extra point. He was also getting alot of depth on his kickoffs. Mourtada's mechanics look great imo. It is more of a confidence thing and getting used to the live action and pressure. I hope those easier kicks will build that base confidence for when he has to kick the longer ones. HardCoreBlue 1

Buck has been getting better with each game. He still makes some silly calls like empty back field twice from the 5. But he's really been adapting great to what the defense shows. The last 3 weeks we've had deadly good use of play action. Mark F, Tracker, TBURGESS and 3 others 4 2
Geebrr Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 I think the empty backfield was Buck trying to introduce some tendency breakers and we just didn't manage it well. Or perhaps BC covered the read we were looking to see and stepped up. Bigblue204 and wbbfan 2
Piggy 1 Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 1.D Line 2.O line .Even Suitor was impressed. 3 ZC. He was on fire. HH. Stove. What a monster in the middle. wbbfan and Mark F 2
Stickem Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 Hard to pick just three guys in a total team effort.....Woli....Lawler stood out....Zack for his pin point passing....Have to mention Mourtada.....I thought the guy was going to be on a bus trip outta here after his first game but he seems to have found his mojo.....Now IF he can put a couple of long one's through the uprights ..say a 45'er or a fifty yarder, then I think we may be on to something wbbfan 1

Honestly it's soo against the grain you'd have to set it up by running a post snap motion draw or Shovel Pass. Then the d would have go make a hard choice about Gap assignments. Otherwise the d can and has pass rushed and dropped into match zone. Geebrr 1
bobbyboucher Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 Collaros was on fire last night and has been amazing this season. I swear half the throws he made last night would have never even left Matt Nichols' hand. Geebrr and Bigblue204 2

no71 Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 My first in-person bomber game in awhile. Behind the Bomber bench there were way more Bomber fans than Leos. No wrong answers Collaros and DLine amazing but just expect this now. 1. Lawlor. Catching everything. 2. Wolly. Like we thought he’d be. Hope he’s ok. 3. Corners. Jones running routes better than receivers and Alford’s diving knockdowns. And Harris, Oline, Rest of defense. And ST not looking awful: kicking OK (nervously right on first one, then good; nice kickoffs) and Grant looks like a kick returner who has a chance at a kick return. Mark F, Tracker and wbbfan 3
Mark H. Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 1. ZC - if you haven't yet, watch the game recap on cfl.ca. You can literally hear some of his fastballs whacking the receivers' pads 2. Stanley Bryant - when the OL plays like this - you gotta salute our glue guy at left tackle (punkt). 3. DL - Stove is back - and the nightmares for opposing QBs are just beginning... HH: Brandon Alexander - our glue guy on the back end OH: Nic Demski - some mighty fine catches last night - the hell with PI - he just catches the pigskin Fred C Dobbs, Mark F, wbbfan and 4 others 7

He's quietly on pace for over 1000 yards receiving. When was the last time a Canadian had 1000 yards receiving wearing blue and gold??? Poplawski? That being said he is tremendous at the mid range - long stuff so it doesn't really matter. The windows he is hitting, just great stuff. Combined with his ability to evade pressure makes it very hard to defend. LoL at the riders for totally wasting this talent. Enjoy fajardo. Noeller 1

He is as good at the short passes as nichols was, he just doing look to short throws unless he has to or its wide open. His accuracy and touch are the best in the league. Nichols was never able to turn his receivers up field with passes and put a lot of balls by toes and well behind targets. Its why collaros can throw short passes and average 10+ yards per completion vs nichols struggling with 6 or 7 max. Go back to the edmonton game, that first quarter collaros put on a short passing clinic. He constantly got the ball out fast enough and put it in a position where his wrs could run down field before the DBs got on top of them.

Disagree, most of the times his short passes are his last option after he's gone through all of his reads and it's a last minute ditch effort while on the run. Nichols short balls and I mean short ones 5 yards or less and definitely not his screen passes... were softer because he was dumping it off after his first read while he still had a large bubble of protection around him while his feet were planted.

He's as good as anyone - you might want reassess that assessment KG5 was always good at the short passes - but the right game plan could shut him down - even with a superb O around him. ZC8 is more multi-faceted, so his short passing is less noticeable. 1 hour ago, bobbyboucher said: Seriously, how good has this guy been all season?!?! I believe the closest one in recent history Arjei Franklin, he had 700 - 800 yards for a couple of seasons Otherwise, yes, you have to look back to the early 90's Piggy 1 1

17to85 Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 I said it last season too, collaros isn't very impressive at the short stuff. That's ok. He isn't that kind of qb and we're not asking him to be that guy. It's working out great.

Collaros looks healthier and more confident this season though however then he did in Saskatchewan and even last year. He really looks outstanding.

He was born in the UK so im guessing he was one of those loop-hole guys that maybe moved here later on or had a Canadian parent.

I don’t get to hung up on that… Wolitarsky is basically 100% American with a Canadian parent a dual citizenship…. We’ll take what we can get… Edited October 3, 2021 by bearpants
