captaincanuck12 Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) 0-2-1 and limping home. Missed the ******* trip on Stanley in OT. Really bad bounces and 1000% luck for the Wild. Edited October 20, 2021 by captaincanuck12
captaincanuck12 Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 I would say if the Jets keep losing for those that want Maurice fired, he could be canned. But the upper management will likely reward him with a 10 year extension. Apparently results don't matter!
BomberBall Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Don’t worry, Maurice will dress 9 defensemen on Thursday. He’ll get this thing turned around. Beaulieu had 4 minutes of ice, by the way. blue_gold_84 and captaincanuck12 1 1
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) 4 minutes of Beaulieu and Nash with more than ves Harkins svech 25 min for scheif We've seen this **** before.. including the Edmonton series Jets are like 6 wins 14 losses... last 20. That's just a guess it might be better by a win but it might be worse if you go back more. Jets with an epic 7 8 9 game losing skid before playoffs.. Officially 3 straight but really 7 straight and probably 70 percent their last 25 30 games now have been Ls. Not good. Coaching is a huge huge problem Edited October 20, 2021 by Goalie
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 I'm curious what they did during training camp. I was gonna give 10 games but same old **** systems in the d zone and same skill players being told to play man 2 man D and ultra passive pk. It's all the same. Just mind numbing. Ppl blaming Helle... 4 of 6 bounced all over the place. Jets just not good defensively. Square peg round holes here
bustamente Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Jets thought they had fixed and upgraded their D, they have not, Helle needs to play lights out for the Jets to win with the way the Jets play in their defensive zone blue_gold_84 1
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Maurice needs to understand D includes a system that works. Man 2 man has not worked for 3 years with this group blue_gold_84 1
blue_gold_84 Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Just now, bustamente said: Jets thought they had fixed and upgraded their D, they have not, Helle needs to play lights out for the Jets to win with the way the Jets play in their defensive zone Not only that, the forward lines in general have been brutal without the puck while defending. It's like watching beer league when the Jets have to play in their own end in three games so far. Their positioning is awful and they struggle to clear the puck more often than not. And then there's a plethora of issues with special teams. This start has been hard to stomach, even if last night's game had a ton of drama and high scoring. The Jets can't continue to play like this in their meat grinder of a division, unless they want to be on the outside of competing for a playoff spot. I don't know the answers are but this ugly start to the 2021-22 season has to be worn by management, coaches, and the players. That was a very disjointed road trip. bustamente 1
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Ps Jets have now lost 16 of their last 23. 4 wins vs Edmonton. And 2 vs non playoff Calgary and Vancouver. Minus 25 or so goal differential. Not been good a while Jets pk ranked 29th 7 of 15. Jets Pp not good either The passive box is killing us Just for fun Riley Nash with more pp time than ehlers Edited October 20, 2021 by Goalie
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Broken record right but... it's apparent it's coaching with what I mentioned above. The Nash thing is really just the extra point.
bustamente Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Maurice should be fired just for this, Nash so good killing penalties now a pp specialist, might be time for Chevy to move on blue_gold_84 1
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 Chipman gonna have to move on. I think Chevy would have after 2019
blue_gold_84 Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 1 minute ago, Goalie said: Chipman gonna have to move on. I think Chevy would have after 2019 The year in which they made the playoffs and lost in 6 games to the eventual champs? That wouldn't have made much sense. I think Cheveldayoff's seat must be getting warm, too.
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) Sorry. 2020. The year they **** the bed. But circumstances such as Buff and what have you. I would think Maurice goes before Chevy. It's little things that add up.. pp minutes.. man 2 man... Nash with more ice than better players. Connor and scheif on to seal the win all the time... back on after the offside.. the overplaying of vets... the team looks like a mess on the ice after a month of camp or so. It's time Prob give Dave Lowry the interm gig Imagine Tortorella tho lol. Not gonna happen but perhaps an accountable coach is needed Edited October 20, 2021 by Goalie
Goalie Posted October 20, 2021 Report Posted October 20, 2021 They appear to lack confidence. In the D zone they run in to each other.... it's just a lack of confidence and a system that just nobody else in the league runs. Oh well tho... Buffalo is 3 and 0.
