I’m sure Walters had an idea. The guy is a genius. He knows his football. He’s still so young when it’s all said and done he’s going to be one of the greatest GM’s of all time.

not even that he's a genius, but he has a plan and sticks to it... and is bar none the most proactive GM out there. Doesn't get caught without depth when he needs it.

He had a long term plan when he came here. Glad upper management gave him the chance and time to accomplish it. Things looked bleak in 2015. I was unsure of O’Shea at the time but I wanted us to stick with Walters so bad. Glad we stuck with both.

I think it's as long as one parent is a Canadian citizen, the child is as well. As for Eli, he was born in Richmond, BC and is a Canadian citizen due to that.

In any event, I hope he decides to get vaccinated prior to next season.

If you are born outside Canada and your Canadian birth parents have never resided in Canada prior to your 18th birthday you are still eligible but must apply for Canadian citizenship. Just a formality but it is not automatic. You do not carry citizenship by birthright. You carry citizenship by birthright and residency or by application upon planned residency.

astonishing thing about Fajardo is that he's .750 as a starter and he showed in the western final he's got a lot of ability to rescue broken plays.  Gotta respect that.

Think he's a good match for a team whose QB is going to be under duress a lot.  A pocket passer would get killed behind that green OL. Long as your line is so leaky, you might as well roll with Fajardo.

Cody Fajardo is a young Kevin Glenn.

Change in mindset.

I am not saying Bond gets the credit but he was when the OL started pushing people around.

They had the talent

I remember that well. That is right around the same time we put Nichols in for an injured Willy and despite the new nasty on the OL there was debate about whether it was Nichols "quick release" or the new OL that led to the improvement. I think the answer has become very clear in retrospect.

Bond in at g and hardrick moving to tackle. The first 5 games here for Harris he was averaging just over 10 carries a game. 3 of those games he had 1.6 2.4 and 2.8 yards per carry. 206 yards rushing in 5 game 41 per game.

The next 3 games had his first 20 carry game first 2 100 yard games and one more tough day running.

The Bond hardrick changes took us from a struggling ol to the start of a great ol. Id compare that to the day willy came and biggie and the return of ba and moving him to s.

The mafia has shown a great knack for taking vets to another level.

Walters really understands the CFL, knows what you need to win in the league......and quietly and methodically goes out and gets it.
Hell, this entire management group and coach "get it"

you know why...because they are all Canadian former CFL players.....that's huge

We need to sign Mourtada so that we can cut him properly.

Kyle will probably keep Mourtada's number in his phone book until Castillo decides what his plans are.  I'm not confident Liegghio will be ready to take over F.G. kicking next season, if anything this playoff run proved they can't afford to compromise that position.  A great kicking performance can cover up for a lot of in-game deficiencies.

Might have been easier to just list those under contract lol. The only saving grace in all this is all teams have huge lists this year due to all of the 1 year contracts.
I trust Walters and crew will nail down many of these guys well before FA period.
