Last night after the game was over, Stamps linebacker Cameron Judge allegedly sucker punched Lucky Whitehead as teams were leaving the field after he said some derogatory remarks about Judge's family. A group of BC Lions left their bus & went to the Stamps clubhouse wanting to beat Judge up. There was yelling, pushing & shoving as Stamps players & their families were going to their cars. The Calgary City Police separated the two groups. It'll be interesting to see how the CFL handles this.

From what I've seen and heard yesterday, Whitehead was allegedly chirping Judge's family in-game. Whitehead was showboating after the game on the field directly at Judge, who walked up, and one-punched him.

One game for punching a helmetless player in the face is a joke.

I don't disagree with you, but I'd also like to know exactly what Lucky said to him to provoke it...

Agreed. Punching a helmetless player should be multiple games. Period.

The fact that it happened after the game should also be a factor in the punishment, IMO.  During the game, in the heat of the moment is one thing, but biding your time and waiting until the game is done and his helmet is off?  One game is not enough.

Excellent point. He had the time to think about it and decided to follow through.

What then to do with the Lions who had more time to think about things before challenging the Stamps in the parking lot after the game, forcing the police to intervene?

Apparently the slur was directed by Whitehead (Poophead?) at Judge referencing Judge's mother's activities. Seems a bit strange that the Lions would be so incensed, given that the Lions won the game and should have been feeling jubilant.

Could Whitehead not press charges? It was in the parking lot not during the game. I would if I was Whitehead.

On the field, after the game.  The Lions then tried to go after Judge in the Stamps locker room.  That didn't work so they waited in the parking lot for them,

BC should definitely get some fines for their actions - not sure punishment could go much further for what ended up being a bunch of yelling on their end of things.

Whitehead MUST have said something really bad....like, this kinda thing doesn't just happen for some basic insult.

If true, that is classless. What the hell was the guy thinking? You don't go after someone's family.
