CrazyCanuck89 Posted August 3, 2022 Report Posted August 3, 2022 They explain why your run game has struggled. Last year Harris and all were tackled in the backfield 13% of the time, this it's 31%. The Oline is at fault. Wanna-B-Fanboy 1

Yes Derek Taylor brought that stat up last week, or maybe even earlier and we've already discussed it ad nauseam. And it's not tackled in the backfield, it's first contact in the backfield. Because tackled in the backfield more often is just pants on head ******** insight. Bigblue204 1

He did say it himself, and it is clear that he was trying to score a TD every run. Zach Schnitzer and bb1 2
Mark H. Posted August 4, 2022 Report Posted August 4, 2022 Bryant and co., woke up at the start of the new season...and realized...they'd forgotten how to run block.

Couture hurt. Desjarlais gone. Neufeld not practicing. Bryant not practicing. Essentially 2 starters from last years team aren't currently playing, if you don't think gray is a downgrade on drew and if you don't think kolankowski is a downgrade on couture, well... you're wrong.

Well, all's well & good but if you subscribe to the "Next Man Up" then injuries are just an excuse.

Sure but losing 2 starters is pretty tough. The fact there's stats saying our guys are getting hit in the backfield says it is partially an oline issue
