You are correct.

I'd say the Riders need to fix the O with this order of priorities:

1 - New O-line

2 - New OC

3 - New QB

4 - New Receivers.

Fajardo does suck majorly,  however even Saskatchewan were to start ZC or healthy Nathan Rourke... those guys would also be struggling mightily.

Collaros would be pushing up daisies. Rourke would have injured both feet. Aaron Rodgers would have turned into an angry hermit in the Wisconsin backwoods.

You know what would be hilarious… if Fajardo went to another team next year (say Ottawa or even Hamilton)… they surrounded him with good skill position players, an oline, and a good system… and then he turned out to be good again 😂 😂

Disagree. The OL is the problem. Fajardo has become a human piniatta & is displaying Drew Willy symptoms of panic due to being pummeled play after play. He may be too damaged to be of any help to another team.

Disagree, the problem is O'Day.

He is the worst team building I can recall seeing. He has no sense of team culture - ignoring character concerns in favour of potential talent - but also assembles pieces that don't fit together while also ignoring team needs.

oday sat on his arse for 3 yrs now...not addressing the obvious (oline and charcater) as well as actual quality depth...he screwed them....take some time to call around....talk to people...know what yu are bringing into your locker room...we do...and you see the results of it.

Also management of their SMS seems to have affected their roster and depth...again goes back to drafting and scouting....sorely lacking there....also his comment they likely cant bring any players in now...specifically O=Lineman as it too late in yr....we have been...others too....and what has he been doing all yr...right after first few games, and obviously once the best Olineman ever Dan Clarke went down they should have been bringing guys in weekly, or looking to work a trade...they had assets they could have moved that wouldnt have crippled them any more than they were with the garbage they trotted out....if they had any depth or ability to develop their own, they had one of Dean/Sankey/moncreif they could have moved to get them a solid oline guy...Oday is a horrible gm and basically sucked whatever he could out of what Dickweed Jones built there...and it slowly withered away under his watch...epic fail.....same with their HC hire....another epic fail

Difference is, Faj was never good. Collaros was a legit superstar in this league before his downturn.

There is no further rock bottom than playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders

Zc looks like 2015 zc...legit premiere QB...the Faj looked like a crappier version of prime time Nealon Greene..which was premium crap

He had Drew Willy syndrome. Once he gets out, he faces a long road to recovery. I hope he does leave & does well. Look at thei Riders history of getting rid of great qbs who were failing while playing for them. Tom Burgess was a backup to Kent Austin when the Riders won their second Grey Cup. He came to Winnipeg a year later & won the Grey Cup with the Bombers. Hank Burris played a couple of seasons in Saskatchewan being signed after he was cut by the Chicago Bears. When he became a free agent he signed with the Stamps & won a Grey Cup with them in 2008. Tom Clements won a Grey Cup for us in 84 & he only lasted half a season with the Riders before being traded in mid 1979 to the Ticats.. Then Zach Collaros, The Riders didn't want thim so they traded him to Toronto for basically a bag of used footballs in 2019.  I'd love it if Fajardo went to another team & he found success as the gap toothers would be wondering why their qbs find success elsewhere.

Agreed. Fajardo may be a whiny individual unsuited to be an athlete, let alone a quarterback in a contact sport, but the emotional damage he has almost certainly sustained will hamper him for a long time to come unless he finds and uses a good therapist. Hell, living in Regina ought to be considered grounds for hardship disability pay.
