Mark H. Posted February 12, 2023 Report Posted February 12, 2023 I'm not sure why people keep implying that Schoen would stay on his rookie deal, if he returns to Winnipeg. rebusrankin and GCJenks 1 1

Booch Posted February 12, 2023 Report Posted February 12, 2023 Yeah he would have to stay on it..as it's a signed contract ..but I expect a restructure and extension...not huge money this yr but if he continues the success 2024 will be significantly higher Bigblue204, Noeller, Goalie and 2 others 5
rebusrankin Posted February 12, 2023 Report Posted February 12, 2023 Rookie deal but Wade gets him a $100,000per year job with Pinacle. Noeller, AB BomberFan and blue_gold_84 3
BBlink Posted February 12, 2023 Report Posted February 12, 2023 Or Obby gets him a 200k per year job at Schwarma Khan somehow Rex_Banner, rebusrankin and Noeller 1 2
rebusrankin Posted February 12, 2023 Report Posted February 12, 2023 I like Mike Jones but don't see a spot with Nichols, Darby, Houston, Parker, Lawrence and Rose. Jesse and Noeller 1 1

We're just too damn good in the db dept......helluva position to be in .. Mike Jones is a quality guy and would fit right in rebusrankin 1

But I don't think the club will treat him that - they will restructure, as Booch suggests. I dislike the stuff that DT is tweeting, saying "the Bombers will gain 150-200K in additional value from Schoen's contract." Noeller and GCJenks 2

Booch Posted February 12, 2023 Report Posted February 12, 2023 Houston is in yr 3 here now...doubt he on a rookie deal...that being said tho I sure it's very economical for us Noeller 1

I agree but won’t be surprised that is doesn’t happen until later in the year once the team has an idea of where they will finish under the cap, 6 game injured and such. Mark H. 1

Wouldn't be surprised if he got bumped up to the 110-120 range this year with a 2 year 500k extension or something like that with 50 percent guaranteed in 2025. Not sure why the concept of a player being of more value than guys being paid much more than him is offensive. BBlink, Noeller, Stickem and 3 others 6

Booch Posted February 13, 2023 Report Posted February 13, 2023 You give him about 10-15k less than what Bailey made last yr and if he continues with the torrid numbers....then for 2024 he gets a nice bump Noeller, Stickem, GCJenks and 1 other 4

Especially if we haven’t used a lot of our bonus money this year. If we get him Re upped and extend his year for another two that’d be massive. Tracker 1
JCon Posted February 13, 2023 Report Posted February 13, 2023 Can you sign a partially guaranteed deal after your rookie contract (two seasons)?

Booch Posted February 13, 2023 Report Posted February 13, 2023 Guess will be a Schoen watch today?...no deal signed window is closed?...I expected him back all along, so don't see an 11th hour deal for him down south
MOBomberFan Posted February 13, 2023 Report Posted February 13, 2023 The NFL can go ahead and let him slip through the cracks, their loss is our gain (both our team and our league). What a relief it will be to have him back for another season on such a bargain rebusrankin, BigBlueFanatic, wbbfan and 1 other 4

Geebrr Posted February 13, 2023 Report Posted February 13, 2023 (edited) The CFL should hire CFL Mix Tapes to do their clips. Their videos suck. Edited February 13, 2023 by Geebrr wbbfan and Noeller 1 1
