Bigblue204 Posted February 3, 2023 Report Posted February 3, 2023 I could see Walker in a different green this year. Looks like Ham RB Don Jackson is calling it a career. Colin Unger 1
JohnnyAbonny Posted February 3, 2023 Report Posted February 3, 2023 Walker looked like someone completely out of fucks to give the last couple seasons. He’d fit perfectly with Sask. Wideleft, Colin Unger, HC85 and 4 others 5 2
Colin Unger Posted February 3, 2023 Report Posted February 3, 2023 No chance that the Alouettes are on the verge of folding. They won't have too much trouble finding a new owner at this point. The team is in a much better position now then the last time they were for sale. Attendance is up and league revenues are way up with gambling revenue extra TV revenue coming from the upcoming US TV deal. Lets not let our hatred for Ambrosie cloud our judgement. Thankfully the problem isn't with the business opportunity but rather with ownership. The team clearly works if it has solid ownership. 23 minutes ago, JohnnyAbonny said: Walker looked like someone completely out of fucks to give the last couple seasons. He’d fit perfectly with Sask. That can happen with an older player playing for a dumpster fire team. If i was him Id try and play for a team that's competitive.

He surpassed both Wieneke and Bailey in receiving stats., so not bad for a guy who D.G.A.F. playing on a bad team.

For a (not too old) guy who at one point was unquestionably the best WR in the league, I’d think with motivation he’d do a lot more than pass Rasheed Bailey in stats.

Though taxes and travel could factor in. It’ll probably affect guys in Toronto and bc a lot more. The living expense being what it is.
JCon Posted February 3, 2023 Report Posted February 3, 2023 XFL is great for showcasing talent for the NFL. Timing is perfect to get a camp invite. So, if you think you have NFL talent and measurables, then the XFL is a great route. wbbfan 1

They've been saying the same thing for a few weeks now and he's no closer to signing a new deal so it looks like he wants to see what other offers are out there. Noeller and wbbfan 2

Yep, I have to think it pretty much ends any speculation Demski follows Harris to the Argos. Can't see them paying both guys at #1 National receiver rate. JCon Posted February 3, 2023 Report Posted February 3, 2023 Honestly, I think so few receivers have signed that Walters and Demski are struggling to find the right rate. Gittens signing may seal the Demski signing. Fingers crossed. GCJenks, Bigblue204, Stickem and 5 others 4 4

Gittens must have got a ton, I hope we're not using him as a template.
Jesse Posted February 3, 2023 Report Posted February 3, 2023 I don't think I really expected MBT to move on, so doesn't move the needle for me much. Really just Harris and Evans left for "starters" for Sask and Montreal to sign. Bigblue204 1
