Noeller Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 Jesus Christ almighty...... Hellebuyck is the best goalie in the NHL. He has been ALL WORLD for the Jets this season, and last night especially. Got PEPPERED by the best team in the league...... two turnovers resulting in breakaways (both of which he stopped!) The game winner was a turnover by the Jets, and then the shot itself went off a defenseman's stick and changed direction (elevated) a bit. Helle deserved the win last night, but there's only so much a depleted Jets team could do (not to mention Helle coming off the flu). BomberBall, Piggy 1 and Mark H. 3

Goalie Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 As a former goaltender **** happens and you move on. Helle did what any goalie would do on that play... come out to play the puck. This isn't the 80s... goalies are supposed to play the puck. It hit the stantion tho, 1 out of 10 times thing... Blaming Hellebuyck is basically saying I don't know anything about hockey. In my opinion anyone blaming helle for anything, you don't know **** BomberBall, Noeller and Piggy 1 3

It's almost silly at how loosey goosey and how unstructured the game was in the 80's and before. It would explain why people could easily put up 100 points and have gaudy numbers. Watch a game from the 60's with 6 teams. Or with 12. Quality of play was outstanding,. The 80's were all out offense. No defense.
