Lowry cannot afford to miss that breakaway. As short handed offensively as they are, Jets need to get greasy goals and win 1-0 or 2-1. Going to be a long 2-3 weeks until bodies come back.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see the power play have just one unit play the full 2 minutes.

That first pp was utter trash.

The Jets didn’t play badly, they just couldn’t cash in on the chances they had.  And that’s a must when you’re so depleted offensively.

Once again the officiating is terrible.  Not blaming them for the loss, but they are consistently brutal.  How in the hell is that high stick on Connor missed?  Jets should have had a PP for the remainder of the game. And how about the elbow to the face of Pionk earlier in the game, which also drew blood?  That’s 8 friggin minutes of power play time the Jets got screwed out of because of pure incompetence.  Sickening.

Injuries caught up.  We will probably be falling for a while.   If we play 500 hockey for January I'll be happy.

Better be more then that. 2/3rds of the teams we play in January are not making the playoffs.

Open multiple part question for the group:

Jets have 2 more games this month and 15 in January. Given that right now most of their injured players are pegged at “2 weeks +” for return date, should they be contemplating a trade now to get through the rough patch? And since Chicago is all in on a tank job and looking to move one or both of Toews and Kane, would it be worth going after them and what would it cost?

The problem with trading this early is the extra 2 months of salary you need to take on.   Especially if you are going to take on big salaries like Toews or Kane (max 50% retention without a 3rd team getting involved).

Don't make rash decisions.  The team built a decent buffer to hopefully weather this storm.  They will fall in the standings, but as long as you can stay in playoff contention and make the push back up when everyone is back.

Please bring back Stacy Nattress if the alternative is garbage like tonight’s “anthems”. She kept it simple, didn’t try to overdo it, just straightforward singing.

It wasnt the best anthem but she is the worst singer. Keeps it simple by butching our national anthem that a fact.

Actually it’s just an opinion. But curious what makes her so unenjoyable for some?
