Not reptiles or aliens. Injuries is a much more likely scenario. If they're all back on the field in week 2 of TC, I'll be happily surprised.

In the meantime... move along, nothing to see here.

It is clear that everybody for the Blue Bombers are hurt and the media is covering up and helping the team out by saying players are practicing. It all a plot to sell tickets.

Media doesn't have to cover anything up. They're not reporting much of anything. Good or bad.

Media doesn't cover anything up? Where did you get that nugget from?

The Media is chock a block full of fake news.

Lol - you just looking for opportunities to spew conspiracy theories?

I did not say the media doesn’t cover anything up. I said - relating solely to Blue Bomber practices - that they don’t NEED to cover anything up, because they haven’t been reporting anything from camp anyways.

In Calgary, the number of media covering the Stamps are like 4. They don't always come to practice, either. The only one who actually loves the Stamps is pbp Mark Stephens. Being the voice of the Stamps is his dream job. Been doing it for over 25 years. He's the only one who talks Stamps everyday even in the off season with hisn podcast. He reminds me of Bob Irving. He attends every practice.

Not how I read it, but if that's what you mean, fair enough.

Personal reasons could mean, a death in the family, a new baby, health issues, family issues, legal issues, or any of a hundred different things. Even the good things can affect the players ability on the field and the bad things could stop them from being on the field altogether. When the team doesn't tell us what is going on, we have to guess & assuming it means everything is wonderful with everyone just isn't realistic.

Jeffcoat (Practiced then out), Bighill (Coaching, not practicing) and Grant (Suspended after showing up) were all banged up at the end of the season, if they are still banged up that's a problem.

Brady O practiced, out, then we brought in a new RB.

That's 4 stars with question marks & Hansen and Wilson are already on the 6 game.

IIRC there are more non-participants.

One of the reason's that this has been a very quiet camp is because some folks call it spewing conspiracy theory's when anyone doesn't toe the 'Everything's Hunky Dorey' line.

It's not false news from the media. It's the way players train in the off season. Some, if not all are going crazy with their workouts. They overtrain. They injure themselves while they train. The problem is, players don't come to training camp in football shape. They may have 3% body fat & look like Adonis but they're so tight that they get injured running around with no equipment or hitting. That's the problem. Not conspiracy theories spewed by you.

OUCH UPDATE: Receiver Dalton Schoen was back at his post at practice today, one day after sitting out a session. The list of those not practising is long, although it’s still to be determined who will make the trip to Edmonton for Saturday’s preseason game and who will be left behind in Winnipeg.

Among those not participating on Wednesday were LB Adam Bighill, DT Cam Lawson, CB Winston Rose, LB Kyrie Wilson, DE Thiadric Hanson, RB/rec Greg McCrae, RB Jonathan Rosery, DE Jackson Jeffcoat, OL Tui Eli, RB Brady Oliveira, DB Nick Hallett and CB Desmond Lawrence.

Barnes appears to be fast with decent body control and hands, but I didn't see him fight for the ball or read blocking on run plays.  Will wait to pass judgement.

As long as this team is playing well and healthy at the end of the year - I don’t really give a **** if they’re 12-6 instead of 15-3.

yeah maybe we give the vets not just training camp but also the first three or four games off.  Make the league a bit more fair too....

Maybe this has been answered elsewhere and someone will enlighten me but ... exactly why has the CFL's top kick returner Janarion Grant been suspended? "Personal reasons" could cover a whole lot of things and here we are two weeks into camp still having to speculate about what that might mean. Has anyone asked whether Grant is  expected to return to the roster and if so if there's a timeline on that?

From May 17 Free Press:

Bombers suspend Grant, cut 11, add a pair

The Bombers transferred return specialist Janarion Grant to the suspended list early Wednesday morning.

According to head coach Mike O’Shea, there’s no reason to be alarmed. The all-star isn’t in any trouble, it was simply a roster move.

“Just needed some time. Personal reasons,” said O’Shea.

Does "Just needed some time" = "Didn't pass the physical"? That's what most folks would assume when a player comes to camp and gets suspended.

If Grant's "personal time" suspension goes on much longer, we will have reason to be suspicious. In the meantime, we will see if there are any legitimate heirs-apparent.

Or it could be someone close who is dying a slow death.  This is none of our business.
