Booch has something against Holm. He got beat a few times last night, against a speedster. It happens. Didn't give up huge plays though.

He also tackles just fine and isn't afraid to get after the run.

Swarmy is a nice surprise. Essentially locked down one of the leagues top rec through the first couple of weeks. If the rest can get healthy, our secondary could be very very good.

Nothing against Holm...he's just not all that and a slice of cheese...injuries did t happen he wouldn't be starting..and I bet by end of yr he won't be.

His tackling isn't great...and in traffic he gets lost and almost confused...if anything he should be on boundary corner.

Do you want to do something about that horn couple next year? I’m holding you personally responsible if I hear that goose convention again, lol.

Seen area where it comes from...

There was a couple deep ones Holm was chasing, one before the Alexander int, which I felt there should have been help from the safety (but what do I know) another one late that the als got deep, looked like Holm and Darby both took the inside and Holm had to scramble to pick up the guy going out. That is likely the younger player making an error but who is to say unless we know all their assignments

No u were correct..that was his guy

Skimmed through the game again this morning. I missed a bunch the first time.
Couple few random thoughts.
-We didn’t see it last week, but Daramy Swaramy can really hit.

- It’s hard to watch the oline on TV but it looked like Geoff Gray was having a lot of trouble in pass pro. Did see him in the second level on quite a few running plays though.

- I was ripping on them, but I actually like how Marshall Ferguson called the game. It’s a shallow pool but I’d say he’s my favourite pbp  guy on TSN right now.

- As many have already said, having Lawson in made a huge difference in how the middle pressure looked.

-Bombers are now 6-3 under Osh in Montreal. I think the 00’s narrative of Molson being a graveyard can be put to bed.

We ran several sets with Lawson...and our 3 ends and everytime basically we were causing havoc

Agudosi is already out this week.

Would be McCrae (who is now injured) and Murphy most likely.  Murphy might stay on depending on the situation with the rest of the Canadians.

I’m not sure we’ll be dressing 7 OL forever.

Lawler will take Agudosi spot..who was taken by McRae ...

Murphy will be off...he was awful on kick coverage...not sure if it's noticeable on the tv view and BOLO is the backup Canadian receiver...when Demski is back be nice to have McRae on roster too with Lawler but not sure how we swing that...I'd like to see a game of Lawson in the nose and a 3..hybrid 4 man front with the ends...and sit Walker to do that...and insert McRae...doubt we do it...but who knows...if we can get Ford back it opens up huge roster possibilities tho..and we could throw him on corner and change up ratio

I doubt Walker comes out unless he’s injured at all this season.  He’s been pretty solid taking regular reps at 3 spots depending on the package.  We don’t really have the Canadian depth behind Lawson even at end to roll with him and Thomas.

It’s the downside of having a couple American specialists in Castillo and Grant in terms of overall roster depth.

Kelly looks like a guy who can play.  Got in at half and field corner last night in the 4th with some injuries.

If gmac is nicked I’m sure the unpenalized bodyslams by MTL didn’t help.

Refs missed a lot of calls. Hands to the face, face masking, that push out of bounds on wollys td was iffy at best. I don't even know how many holding calls were missed against the Dline. It Was frustrating watching what Mtl was getting away with.

Yeh. A few face mask calls missed, the holding. Yet, Bomber players didn’t over react, didn’t retaliate, remained undramatic, and disciplined.

When Lawler comes back they can keep McCrae in the line-up by sitting Brian Cole. He was a late add to the roster yesterday.

That might leave the team a little thin with special team players however. It will be nice to get Hansen and Miller back for that.

When Hansen and Miller are back I doubt they'll be able to dress 7 olinemen.

Yeah, full credit to the Bomber players to brush off the infractions and just continue to play ball. I am amazed Jefferson didnt get upset that his helmet was twisted sideways.

Cole was really good on kick cover though. With lawler back we can certainly use teams help more than another weapon on offence. A lot of roster rebalancing to happen too.

On the one bailey run where BOLO got dinged with holding the MTL guy grabbed Bailey's face mask where it runs above the eyes and reefed him down...right in front of 3 officials

The thing is that with Hansen back they'd be having to take Maruo out of the lineup or else he'd be taking an American spot

And that's just fine...Hansen in rotation and on teams adds more than Mauro does

Absolutely

Oh no... not that....

Just reminding people who think that globals essentially act like Canadians. They get 2 spots on the roster and we have a global punter this year.

The league roster rules have become so convoluted. A team can roster a 2nd Global player as the 45th player instead of a Canadian however rostering a 3rd Global means one less American?

Yeah I had to re-read. We can have up to two global players. That 2nd global is the 45th rostered player. I think if you had a 3rd global they would have to take an Americans position

Edit: Rules define a minimum of 21 Canadians. And there's no minimum of American players. So I think you could naturally say that the 3rd global would replace an American

If you can’t see that he’s earned a starting spot this season idk what to tell you 😂

you can’t know it was his guy, period. you can guess, but unless you’re in the drawing room you can’t know, doesn’t matter what view you have.

Yeah, you always get called for the response too.
Too bad though Bailey looked like he was short out of a cannon on that one.

They really need to simplify things. It’s gettin to be as bad as the nba salary cap.
I love the global program, though I’d like to see it grow to more than just kickers and punters.

Yeh. A few face mask calls missed, the holding.

also...really late pushes when bomber ball carrier is well out of bounds... on one of the touchdowns, blatant push well after the play, sent schoen flying.... no flag. there were a few of those, with no call, and some body slams, which were not called.

more dirty teams than not right now.

holding,,p.i.,   .. oh well,  but this other stuff, and no call... hate it.

this is my no. 1 complaint with the CFL.

bombers do not play that way.

Out side of the dirty stuff I don’t care soo much how they define it and make calls. As long as it’s consistent. Problem is the enforcement is wildly different from game to game and even drive to drive.
No one wants to see pi or holding calls on every play. And few people want the game to be lawless. But I’ve seen more horribly reffed games this year than last year. Not just screwing up one drive or one type of call. But calls of all types have been horrible.

the command centre has improved a considerable bit the last two years. The reffing seems worse.
The league needs to make the refs full time and paid. Have them train year round and work with crews at all levels.

U don't need to tell me anything...he earned it cause 2 injuries...so if that's earning to u so be it...he was a hold over from last yr..and Osh will favour a hold over

I know the defence they were running...as it was obvious as a fack...and being up in a suite watching the whole field..ya...I can definitely say it was his guy...
