It's up to the offence to put points on the board, they can't come out and lay an egg like they did in the first matchup, the burden is on Zach's shoulders to put them in position to score points.  In the old days they could rely on Medlock to win epic battles by scoring 4 or 5 FG's, no reason Castillo can't do the same if put within range.

Agree.  The offence needs more consistent production to keep BC’s defense from just pinning their ears back the whole time.  Can’t afford to have the O disappear for 3 quarters only to have the defence gassed in a tight fourth quarter.

Even better would be a complete team effort and put these guys away 2022-style.

Wilson at LB and Rose at CB would really help the D.

Agree with what others have said, we need a better, more consistent offensive effort.

Diversify the running attack again and don't spend so much time looking for the long ball, it puts more pressure on the O-line and places Zach at higher risk of being sacked.  Steal a page from LaPo and move the ball into scoring range with intermediate passing and a solid running game, a win doesn't have to look good, but it usually does.

As long as Zach has time, he'll pick anyone apart. The key to our offense is making sure he has that time.

You can't diversify the run game with a straight ahead fullback type runner. One who doesn't have the speed to get outside but instead runs hard hitting the gaps inside for the most part. He can catch the ball well so maybe include Brady in the short passing game more often. We run a ball control type running game. Especially late in a game & bash the other team mercilessly. We aren't explosive on the ground like a Diedrich Mills with the Stamps. However, it works for us quite well so we should just leave it alone until other teams take it away. I don't want to go back to the days of LaPo on second & six & we throw for 4. Second & seven & we throw for 3. Two & out, two & out, two & out. Only take a couple of shots a game deep. Sit on a ten point lead for an entire second half afraid to take chances. Why spend all that money on Kenny Lawler & zach Collaros if all we're going to do is dink & dunk with the passing game?

No one is suggesting the worst parts of plops scheme is what we need. Just need to balance the attack so if it’s not a TD strike then at least they can rain down field goals the rest of time instead of zero points and crap field position.

That was LaPo's entire game plan so how can you say we won't use the worst part? That entire offense was the worst part. Any decent receiver refused to sign here when he was OC. It was run on first down, throw on second. If we need 5 yards on second down then throw short & let the receivers work for it. Most times they didn't make it. That was his game & damn it, as a fan I never want to see it again. And last question, why should we use an offense that other than two playoff series & a GC with Zach Collaros in 2019 failed in every city that he coached in year after year??

Diversify as in make better use of Demski, Bailey and McCrae, don't put the whole load on Brady, he's too easy to key on.  Also time for Prukop to start adding a wrinkle to the attack with his own package of plays as they mentioned in the pre-season.

This. It's going to be obvious very early...whether or not Bombers have any chance of winning.

Can't let Betts and crew own Zach. Wouldn't hate to see changes on the oline interior but apparently  Zach gotta be carted off first for that to happen

Gray was hurt actually...hence the switch

I still seeing that game as an anomaly...and if we actually use our offence as we have had before...and incorporate more runs with different guys...and the motion..then the Dline will have to respect that or be eviscerated as a whole.

For whatever reason that game we seemed to wanna work from the pocket...and incorporate zero motion...and ZC couldn't climb the pocket cause Kolo is more times than not going backwards into the pocket so ZC had nowhere to go as the ends just crashed down..and they had zero reason to play a contain game or respect out side runs...plain and simple

I think Lawler being back...everyone basically healthy...we will see a totally different game

I agree. Most of our offensive struggles last game against them emanated from a very poor game plan imo. I am not sure what Buck saw that led him to believe we should attack them from deep drops in the pocket in a pretty vanilla scheme. Their DL was able to just tee off on that. More motion, more commitment early to different run looks and stretching the flats and we will widen them out. If we can keep their DEs from simply pinning their ears back and rushing every play it will give Stan and Yoshi the outside leverage they need to win the day. A couple good off tackle runs by Demski, McCrae, or Bailey or some dumps into the flats and we get the DEs widened out a bit.

yeah....if we do any semblance of that...will be a totally different game and outcome

so.....BO is second in the league in yards after the catch...believe it or not....so why not incorporate that early and often if the Lions try and do that pin ears back and rush with zero regard for anything off the edge in the flats or short dump passes?...something we did nothing of last match

I honestly wonder why we haven't used him a little more in the passing game. The few times he does get the ball, it always seems to be successful.
