MOBomberFan Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 Tidbits courtesy of bluebombers.com and our man Ed Tait: https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/09/02/game-preview-labour-day-classic-2/ *Note: a win this weekend would clinch a playoff spot for the Blue Bombers for a seventh straight season, their longest run since a 17-year streak ended in 1997. - Zach Collaros is 6-0 in his career in Labour Day Classic games – 3-0 during his days in Hamilton, 1-0 in his one season in Saskatchewan and 2-0 in Winnipeg. In those games has a 13:3 TD-to-interception ratio while passing for 300 yards three times and over 400 yards in 2015 while with the Ticats. - The Blue Bombers are 24-3 against West Division clubs since 2021. - A victory in Regina this weekend would give the Blue Bombers a winning record on the road for the third consecutive season, matching a mark last set from 1960-62. These are the good times, folks. I hope you are all savoring them. Jesse, Mark F, Rod Black and 15 others 3 2 1 1 11

Mark F Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 (edited) t.j. Brunson, linebacker, first game in cfl fined for high hit. The Canadian Football League has disciplined a pair of Saskatchewan Roughriders for their actions in Week 11. Linebacker T.J. Brunson will be lighter in the pocket following his first career CFL game, receiving a fine for a hellacious high hit on B.C. Lions’ returner Terry Williams. He was credited with one special teams tackle on the evening, while also forcing a fumble. Defensive lineman Anthony Lanier II has also been fined for late and unnecessary contact on Lions’ quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. He finished the game with one tackle, a sack, and a fumble recovery. Two riders, fined, same game. Something to be concerned about for this game. Makes you wonder after the guy that wrecked masoli. Edited September 3, 2023 by Mark F Geebrr and Tracker 1 1
JuranBoldenRules Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 So they rule a hit that caused a turnover was illegal and fine worthy but somehow can't manage to review it right there in the game to get the call right. Noeller, Jesse, Mark F and 2 others 5
Geebrr Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 (edited) Gapper fans and media are really putting a lot of stock into beating BC and forgetting the rest of the season basically. Edited September 3, 2023 by Geebrr Jesse, IC Khari and Noeller 1 1 1

It’s called tunnel vision (the tendency to focus exclusively on a single or limited goal or point of view). We as Bomber fans circa 10 years ago understand this. It’s something desperate fan bases participate in quite frequently 😁 Edited September 3, 2023 by IC Khari Noeller and Geebrr 2

JuranBoldenRules Posted September 3, 2023 Report Posted September 3, 2023 BC is a mess right now. If Noel Thorpe didn't constantly play a defense (cover 0 behind poorly disguised blitz) that's the equivalent of a meaty turkey nicely cooked and waiting to be carved up they would have lost even with Fajardo stinking. O'Shea's description of why Darby going on 6 game: "We made a move to get Parker on and we'll see how Alden factors in the rest of the season" Noeller and wbbfan 2
