In 2013, the Bomber qbs were Buck Pierce, Justin Goltz, Jason Boltus, Max Hall Technically we traded Jade Etienne to the Riders for Willy but it may as well have been a FA signing since Etienne never played a game for them (they would have been better off asking for a few rolls of tape). Willy was set to be an FA but never made it to that point as he signed an extension with us immediately after the trade. SpeedFlex27 and JohnnyAbonny 2

(I have no idea where Walters fits in here.) If Miller is stepping in (before Walters does) there's a bigger problem that needs addressing. What I see happening is Miller speaking to Kyle and Kyle having that discussion with O'Shea and I hope those conversations are already ongoing. For better or worse, each of the three (Walters, O'Shea and Miller) have largely stayed out of each other's business .. they've let each other do their jobs and stayed out of the way. Arnold_Palmer Posted June 18 Report Posted June 18 So I have quite a few thoughts and I haven’t been able to get them all out because I’ve been busy but I want to try to relay them the best I can and in no particular order but here it goes.. -So what exactly are we doing with Chris Streveler? There must have been conversation between the coaching staff and Chris prior to him being signed here. There’s absolutely no way he’s going to be happy being a glorified Dakota Prukop, in fact it’s such a miss managed role for him, he’s fast and athletic but he’s actually not even as good as Dakota is in the short yardage. He spent the last four years in the NFL and we have no way to use him. First and goal at the 7 why don’t you put him in and allow him to either pass, scramble or hand the ball off… 2nd and 1, no pass attempt to keep them honest? This goes into my next point. - I’m critical on Zach as any one has been and I won’t go too much into his play because that’s been discussed however what hasn’t been a topic of conversation is the offense X’s and O’s and that falls on Buck, over the years Zach has made a living on these slow developing plays where he gets a lot of time to throw from the pocket and he’ll step up or roll out and hit an open guy but that started to become a problem last season because Zach started to get hit more, our o-line no longer gives Zach the time to do that, this season it’s even worse, one year older for Stanley, Paddy and the guys, and losing Hardrick, you would think it’s time to start changing the offense, without Brady the slow developing fake hand off was essentially a suicide play because we couldn’t even be bothered to keep the defence honsest by using Augustine even though he’s no Brady he’s at least capable . -Another point regarding the coaching staff is the horrid play from the ST. Horrible and no imagination. When’s the last time we ran a fake? Our coverage team sucked last year, it sucks again, our punting sucked last year, it sucks again. When Grant was injured last year we had no return game, this season we have no return game and there doesn’t seem to be an urgency to make any changes here. -and this really ties into my last point the lack of urgency to make changes. We simply haven’t been good enough, and the cracks were starting to show after 2022 but we continue to move at a snails pace in order to make changes why is Mitchell still fielding punts? Why hasn’t there been any changes to the o-line after Zachs been beat up over the last two weeks, why only dress 6 Dline men when Walters brought in a lot of competition at training camp, why continue to pay 360 k for two running backs when at the very least your back up could be an American making 40 k, it’s either arrogance, ignorance or both I see every other team continuing to make changes to get the best roster possible, it’s down right sad that the only changes happen when there’s an injury and we have to almost hope for one in order for change to occur . rebusrankin, Stickem and M.Silverback 3

Great point. Honestly that's what worries me most - we can't pin all of this on Osh. A lot of it for sure, in terms of player deployment, roster decisions. But, Walters is the boss. A lot of very questionable decisions. Paying two Cdn RB's so much money as many of pointed out. I know we're obliged to support BO because he's a Winnipeger, but good teams do not overpay RB's anymore. Especially one who is not really a game breaker. He's a reliable, 4-5 yard ball control RB. I don't think opposing DC's are in fear of BO lighting them up. NFL teams rarely overpay RB's. So many high profile ones are released. There's such an abundance of American RB's available I would never pay big bucks for one. I'd constantly be recruiting for new RB's, keep the prices reasonable. The other thing is as much as Osh's loyalty to certain players is an issue, the simple solution would be for Walters to have cut, traded, or not resigned some of these players. He's the boss, he could have told Osh that's the direction we're going. Like Thomas for sure, even Biggie I would have moved on from. wbbfan, Stickem and JohnnyAbonny 3

The strevy package has been limited because we haven’t been able to keep the offence on the field. With bo out, we should be using it significantly more especially on first down. We’ve shown wrinkles like qb sweep, pa qb power, set up qb screen with both him and Zach on the field etc. with Zack’s struggles Strevy is significantly closer to starting here than he would’ve expected. I doubt he’s too upset other than hating losing and seeing the o struggle. you’re right that we’ve struggled more than ever in this era with qb protection and that buck has struggled to adjust with what’s going on. It’s a tough spot, what he has installed from tc we can’t run most of. He has always struggled to counter pressure. We have tools like the roll out and pa boot stuff. We’ve run that to get guys like schoen coming back to the ball in open space but its primary function is to counter pressure. We also haven’t made use of down field quick timing routes, slide pro etc. I am worried about buck. He’s young, but he’s looking like he’s either in a rut and doesn’t know how to break a plateau or he’s hit his ceiling. I think this yeah the goat is still getting his feet wet in coaching, and frankly he’s stuck with a bad punter and frequently this year is punting from deep in our end. Bad position to fake. But aside from the pathetic onside attempt in the gc, it’s been almost 2 seasons of no fakes on punting. Just the reverse and reverse fakes early last year in returns. roster management, old boys club, mos peculiar favouritism of rando sub par guys all that stuff is killing us and has robbed us of an all time dynasty. It’s really hard to say how much falls on Walter’s directly. I do feel that some moves like cutting Jackson when mos rostered him soo much is a Walter’s fights back move. But, we are quickly getting to the point where it will be on Walter’s for not doing his job being mos boss and preventing stupid moves. 22 minutes ago, M.Silverback said: No question he's better than Augustine. Not sure he's better than some late NFL cut who we could bring in. I like him, I just would have let some other GM overpay him. The value in Brady is entirely in the fact he’s a mop candidate Canadian skill position player. Plus the local boy and off the field hero. Could we find a great rb for cheap in the nfl cuts? Yes easily. One that would be a beast in pass pro, excellent pass catcher, great runner who can execute our system and grind out yardage? Yes but not as easy. And that player will be gone after a year for a major payday and or nfl shot. Plus you lose the passport. Brady was the toughest decision this off season. Right or wrong I don’t fault Walter’s. we had much easier decisions to make like with biggie and made the wrong ones. WildPath, JCon and Piggy 1 3
