Brown also lead the team down the field to set up the game winning FG. He's started what 6 games? MIddle of the pack right now but a starting QB with upside and potential. Much better than having say 38 year old Harris, 36 year old Collaros, 35 year old MBT.

That’s just it. Ottawa is in a better place moving forward at QB than most of the league.

BC- Adams probably is at his ceiling, Proukop isn’t going to take the next leap.

Calgary- McCheese and his even fatter backup.

Edmonton- MBT is what he is. Ford could improve I guess.

Us- Hinges on Strev. Not much of a future with Collaros.

Sask- Same as here minus Streveler.

TO- I think Dukes is quite impressive given the situation. I can’t stand Kelly, but he’ll probably be back too. They’ll be ok at QB for a while.

Montreal- They’re  in good shape as well.
Has anyone mentioned that Fajardo’s play improved after a year of working with Calvillo? I think that’s been very overlooked.

Hamilton- Powell might be good, completely unproven. BLM is more cooked than Collaros.

Then Ottawa with Brown and Crum. If I’m building a CFL team from scratch, I’ll take their QB room over anyones right now. Problem there is, the rest of the team being scratch.

Brown is looking pretty damn solid in terms of playing a clean game but also having that ability to make every throw and open it up.

Gonna be sad watching his career and lots of wins unfold somewhere else.

Best case for us is he gets tired of the perennial interim coaches in Ottawa and signs back here in 2026.
If they can ever manage to get the rest of that organization together, look out.

Yes, that has certainly been overlooked.

That was around the same time as Sam Canadian, that guy who came on OB talking about how he could win the Bombers starting QB job, talking about putting on “workouts” at Assiniboine park or something.

Ahhh the heady days of strange characters on OB. Then was also a guy who always wrote long posts in third person. Dedos - IIRC

Despite our ol issues I think he’d be even better in our system right now.

Maybe they read the responses to lucky. Maybe it was a throw it out and see what ppl think thing. Wasn’t received negatively but certainly not positively either.

The general ticket buying public would love to see lucky back I’m sure.

Lucky is completely washed. He lost his best and really only asset that maybe him a good receiver and that was his speed. As much as our receiving core needs an upgrade I would rather give a young guy a chance with an upside. Wilson and Johnson were invisible most of the game but at least they showed promise on that last drive or the game and on OT. Sometimes a young receiver just needs the confidence booster that run and catch from Wilson was pretty amazing. He reminded me a little bit of Rasheed Bailey there.

I dunno. I think ppl I have spoken to who are just casuals. They know my bucket hat is a bombers hat lol. They want to see them get younger. Everyone I talk to say they look old and slow. Just got back from the lake around 1130am. Rain at the beach = time to go, b4 we left we stopped to get ice cream because 9 yr old plus they got some good ice cream (It’s called MTT down highway 6) but cashier noticed my lid and says they need to get younger don’t they and I go. Yes yes they do.  Not sure if she was casual. I’m assuming since she lives an hour outside Winnipeg she probably is.

Collaros has no doubt had rock solid MVP regular seasons, come playoffs, I cant remember him at all carrying our team in the playoffs. Our Oline sure isn't helping, Streveler isn't our future and Dru couldve been.

Its dreaming but Id love to make the Pitch to Nathan Rourke in the offseason. If we're really serious about winning it at home next year, we need to detatch from being loyal to some of these aging vets and bring in younger talent.

You're assuming Rourke is coming back next season. I don't think he is.

I'm sure Walters and co. Sit around and wait to sign a player based on the general publics response to a leaked report....that definitely happens

Definitely interested to see Kase back....not sure what happened in camp but I thought he had potential, on paper.

I don’t know if he is or isn’t. He has never been a polished wr. Bc didn’t do a good job of working him into that role and developing him. If he’s healthy, I’d be fine to have him on the pr for a week to see how he is. If he’s still a threat with the ball in his hands he’d be an upgrade imo. If not, cut em loose.

I have been saying this for at least a year- Rourke will be our qb in 2025.

I’d bet against it. I’d be after him, but I don’t think he will be available. And I think some one will offer him cap crippling money.

Rourke is not coming back to the CFL until he has exhausted every single possibility of any sort of NFL shot. You don't refer to the cfl as an unexpected detour and then come back after just a couple years.
