Team Grades?

what is this mystical stuff you speak of.

Like the NFL has started...players are doing surveys to give grades on everything from facilities...staff...how your treated...to assist in deciding where you may wanna go in free agency...in a nutshell

That is very interesting... Would they actually make that public??

Also Mahomes (or any great QB) wouldn’t even complain about his back up being good. Could you imagine Zach whining about Brown doing well and spitting the locker room? Just go out there and play better than your back up Cody!

His wife and brother would

The crazy thing is the talk of the marketing budget being subject to scrutiny and how unclear that process will be

Teams: “so we’re allowed to pay players outside of the cap?”

Randy: “yeah”

Teams: “how much can we allocate?”

Randy: “as much as you want! it’s infinite!”

Teams: “so it’s a free for all? we can pay whatever to whoever?”

Randy: “definitely not?”

Teams: “is there a criteria we need to follow?”

Randy: “yeah”

Teams: “what is it?”

Randy: “ … yeah”

Teams: “ok Randy how much are we actually allowed to spend on these players?”

Randy: “ …….. yeah”

Teams: “can you at least let us know what the consequences are for breaking these rules?”

Randy: “death”

If anyone is watching their weight, feeling a little bulimic but need help with the puking this morning, then head on over to 3dn and read their award pick winners for the season.

Don't say I didn't warn you because you will want to puke, and no I'm not even going to pick it so you can't blame me

I couldn't even get past the intro paragraphs...

However, just like in years past, the league’s outdated voting system will have as large an effect on the results as straight statistical comparisons. With local voters only able to select one nominee from each team and regional voters limited to one choice per division, the best two candidates rarely end up on the final ballot.

To rectify this, 3DownNation has taken the restrictions off and polled 10 of our contributors to see who the real award winners should be. The results include several victors who weren’t even made finalists by the media at large.

Stamps did resign PJ Walker to a 2 yr deal...

Is the Faj signed? I thought he was a FA after this yr....and is BO really the future in the Hammer...I can see the VAJ there

B.C would be extremely dumb to trade him to any West team tho..why help a team that could knock you out of a playoff spot?

Be interesting because Whiny Faced Harris is a FA too...do Riders re-up him?

So glad we are basically set going into camp with ZC..Wilson...I'm sure Dolebanana gets asked back...we signed Grainger as well...and I 99.8 percent certain we bring back Strev...so we will be fine there

I really think that BC can't be picky... they need to move that contract and if Sask or Calgary is willing to take it... I think they have to do it

on a different note...i think this is the first yr ever that not a single game will have been played in any snow or minus degree temperature....go figure

All the deep south players in unison say thank you very much.

I think it all dependent on a bonus too...If he isn't owe one before the free-agency period opens...then they can hang on to him longer. See how the other dominoes fall.

VA tho is gonna be in a good position tho...as he will have leverage on getting his dollars if B.C has to release him...I truly expect Sask tho to roll with Harris again....

It's so funny to me that a good season (I'll even give him very good) from a DB suddenly becomes an MOP season due to media hype... as discussed here before... Jovon Johnson's 2011 season blows Milligan's season out of the water... and he didn't even get a sniff at MOP...

Milligan led the league in INTs by a whopping... *checks notes*.... one INT.... was near the top of the league in tackles.... which means teams were not afraid to throw at him.... and a lot of passes got completed against him.... and he dominated on special teams? Oh so he must've had 4 or 5 return TDs?.... oh, just a bunch of tackles.... right...

honestly, it's hilarious that a website that labels itself "CFL experts" could be so clueless... no need to bother getting worked up about it

EDIT: And they have Milligan as a runner up for the ST award 😆😆🤣🤣

Most of those defensive plays 30 yards downfield after another bust.

Sask’s D cost them a chance to make the Grey Cup and cost them several regular season games.  Look at yardage and points against.  Not a D that deserves any exceptional recognition.

I am failing to understand it myself. Literally the worst part of their team was their extremely porous secondary. Teams threw at them because that was the easy path to victory.

The point of the article was not to highlight the individual players picked to win, it was to illustrate the current awards system is outdated and needs to be fixed by removing artificial boundaries of teams and divisions.  BTW the same concept every other football journalist in Canada agrees with.

That's the point that is stupid.... each team gets one nominee, those nominees have the top from east and west selected... if a guy can't even be his own teams nominee, selected by the local folks who actually know a thing or two about the team how could someone else be a better selection? It really only matters for a runner up type situation

So to prove that the current system is stupid they picked Milligan for MOP. How in god's green earth does that prove anything?
