Rourkie Pie sure...should have been brought in on a prorated deal for 2024...a deal in the drawer for 2025-2027 r3flective of what happened this yr......and he should have been number 2 and Vaj allowed to steer the ship like he was and get out of his little funk....and if he couldnt after Rourke Pie was back for 3..4 weeks then given his shot.....He literaly facked their season all to hell, and that alone if I was Doman would have snipped him the day after the season ended Also I not sure why everyone likes to hang of Macksymic's bean bag either....he caught some lightnening in a bottle...but he has at most times had flawed game pans and cant seem to make adjustments To be fair we don't know if Campbell or McEvoy made the decision to start Rourke or if Doman insisted on it from day one of his arrival to spur ticket sales and an appearance in the GC. In hindsight it really doesn't seem to be a rational decision an experienced HC/GM would ever push.

Who are the most qualified candidates available for HC? Bringing in a rookie could be a multi-year project or an instant disaster, they probably shouldn't flush the toilet unless they have a sure winner lined up for HC. You've defined insanity. 3 years in a row they've been the West Division champs in waiting. Maybe if they had a coach who knew how to properly assess risk they'd win. Noeller 1

Noeller Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago So people would actually WANT to swap out Buck for Lapo.... I feel like I'm on crazy pills. How did Buck go from golden child a year ago to people wanting to run him out of town now?

How did Buck go from golden child a year ago to people wanting to run him out of town now? Ill agree some games the offensive play calling has had alot of WTF?? moments this season, but do we even have an in house guy that could take over? Bringing in someone from outside would seem like a step back for the team. Given the choice of someone from outside the org or Buck, im taking Buck. Continuity has been one of our strengths over this stretch of awesomeness. Edited 1 hour ago by Bubba Zanetti
Noeller Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Brady hurt early on, Schoen out for the season early, Lawler missing a chunk early.... New look OL trying to figure it out..... But it's Bucks fault?

Because of how predictable his package was it’s no surprise our offense actually got better once he went down. So many drives stalling because they wouldn’t throw in a wrinkle and let him throw on second and short.

Blue In BC Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Is Pierce in the last year of his contract? Why would he consider moving to BC as a lateral move unless he's being looked at as a HC.

Why would he consider moving to BC as a lateral move unless he's being looked at as a HC. That's the point... Campbell is out and Buck to BC as HC is what's rumoured. Farhan earlier this week was asked about Campbell out and wouldn't deny it, so that seems likely next week. What this quasi podcast thing is saying is that Buck is the pending replacement. Just not sure how much to believe a rando pod...
Fatty Liver Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago LaPo mentioned sometime ago on his podcast, his wife has no desire to leave Ottawa, also said he wants to be around while his kids are still at home. Didn't deny he might want to get back into coaching eventually though. JCon 1

Not saying they are wrong as I have no idea who they are but FWIW, if you search their podcast, this is how they describe themselves so I'm not sure they're entirely credible.
