Looking at the season long Game Analysis that the league publishes and the matchup in the West Final will be VAJ vs the Riders Secondary.

VAJ among the leaders in 20+ Attempts despite only starting 9 games and the Riders one of the worst teams against the deep ball.

I can honestly see BC putting up some numbers....and maybe walking away with this...They also have an actual RB who can make a difference...which they havnt had....in long time...If Vaj has his head on straight and isnt to caught up in the emotions and trying to prove a point...BC wins

I guess the award is for having a good June and July.

or not sucking as bad as normal?....not sure what he did to deserve the nod....and not saying it just because he's a Rider

Looking at the nominees...No way should BO lose the MOC.....The MOP tho.....even tho Cats sucked...the media been all over BLM all yr...so BO  will prob get boned again.....but the Grey Cup should be a nice consolation prize

Beverrette should be MODP....He had a hell of yr...on a top defense....Milligan has been blown all yr by media....a good/great yr but not a Beverrette yr....

Rookie will be a toss up....Can't see Grant lot winning.....and should as a nod to his last few yrs as well....best there is last 5 yrs

Olineman...2 guys up are both meh....How they each came out of their divisions is baffling...to me thats a who cares as if this an indication of who's best in the league thats pretty ugly and weak

Mace did finish second in his first year as HC... so it's not completely crazy.

I think the winners should be fairly obvious this year: MOP: Brady (but they will try hard to give it to Bo)... MOC: Brady is a lock... MODP: Beverette (even though the league/media desperately wants it to be Milligan)... MOOL: Hunter... MOST (most what?): Janarion... Rookie: Bridges (surprised this LB got the nob over Wilson, oh well)... Coach: Mace (because they have to give Sask something)...

They have to make a splash for a new QB,   I can't see BC wanting to send VAJ to a divisional rival so I'm not sure who they can get?

BC can't be picky... they can't afford to have VA and Rourke on the roster next year... if they can find a taker for him and his full contract, they have to take it...

Rebus's Choice V What I think Happens with the Voters

MOP

Should be: Brady

Will be: BO because the media is stupid. Stats on a team that was 4th in their division and 7th out of 9 teams are meaningless

MOC

Should be: Brady

Will be: Brady

MODP

Should be: Beverette. Great year on the best D in the league

Will be: Milligan. Media is full of idiots. Stats on one of the worse pass Ds mean little

ROY:

Should be: Bridges

Will be: Bridges

COY

Should be: Maas

Will be: Mace

ST

Grant for both

I'd be ok if BLM wins as the award is for most outstanding player. There is no denying Bo has greats stats regardless of whether they were accumulated in garbage time or that he had a losing record.

If the award was for most valuable player I would 100 percent give it to Brady.

I am absolutely gobsmacked by Ferland being the nominee for outstanding lineman, and Wilson not coming out of the West for ROY. Blown away by these choices. I don't understand. Only thing I can fathom is that Ferland was a peace offering to the melon heads for Milligan not receiving MOP nomination.

Over 18k sold for BMO tomorrow. Looks like we'll have everything sold and end at 19k other than the upper east side, which will not be open.

I'm predicting a big Argo win and have placed my bet to reflect it. My second bet has an Argo win and a Rider win with no spreads.

Great for you guys getting 18k. I mean it's half the amount any other playoff game will have but still a big improvement.

TRE FORD HEADING TO MARKET
#Elks 🇨🇦 Quarterback Tre Ford made some interesting comments today on Sports 1440 Sports radio.
#1) Did not decline any package or plays
- Stating he never declined to run any package at Quarterback (in which some media commented on/painting a picture he's not a team guy). Ford did decline to play receiver when he was drafted.
#2) MBT supported Ford
- Mccloud Bethel-Thompson helped Ford in the film room & supported Tre Ford when he was playing. A positive relationship with MBT.
#3) Contact talks with Edmonton
- No contract negotiations with Edmonton to date. Teammates have suggested he should test free agency. Ford is very interested in testing the market. Ford also seemed to have doubts in Simon/Jackson's belief in him as a starting Quarterback.

Ford overrates himself methinks. Very disturbing that his team mates are recommending he test FA. That's not a good sign for the Elks.

A bit early to speculate with the Elks just starting to get their house in order, they have to sort out the future of the GM and HC first before they can pursue their QB.  From their fans perspective it would be a huge negative if they couldn't retain Tre Ford, which would hinder ST sales.

Really? I think he would be crazy not to test free agency.

I just don't think he is a consistently CFL calibre starting QB in this league. Maybe, he gets better but I wouldn't throw anything but backup money at him right now. Just my opinion though. His path to being a starter is probably the strongest in Edmonton and Hamilton where he can spend another year apprenticing behind a couple of grey beards, however, Powell is better imo....and then there was one.

ZC replacement when he hangs them up?? Ford brothers squared?? Ill take it.

People here ***** that streveler can't pass... Ford has a long way to go before he's a real qb and now a change of pace guy.

I think the Strev injury was and will be a blessing in disguise as any coaching staff would be brain dead to run him the way they did....right off injuryand he may finallyget the chance now to actually play QB here...and use his legs like he did his first 2 yrs here and run when it had to happen or opportunity begged for it

He will be back next yr here...so hopefully we see that transformation

His contract expires, they shouldn't waste time or money rediscovering what they already know about Strev, he isn't their future QB.  Time to admit he failed to reignite the magic of 2019 and move forward.
