I blame Derek Taylor. We had won back to back and he shows up and its too cup losses and this debacle. He clearly cursed us by bringing some Rider curse.

This honestly crossed my mind.... Ha ha. I love Derek and he loves the CFL... But bring back Bob for the sake of the team!! Ha ha ha.

Honestly the punt at the end is a perfect analogy for Osh's biggest flaw: putting his faith in people that don't deserve it. In this case the D. I really believe in his heart of hearts he believed they would step up and make a stop, when all evidence pointed to it being an impossibility. He is blinded by trust.

Which explains why we didn't go on 3rd and 6, and gave the ball back to the BC (highly successful) O, with 2 minutes left

How else could we let our beaten down FS look like Kramer in jeans trying to cover the deep middle while we rush 9?

Collaros was much better tonight, especially with the receiver group he was working with. I think Pierce called a better game, too.

Agreed. The max protect worked well and the running game even showed some honest to god creativity.

That’s about as positive as I can get tonight

Current D lineup forcing us to play a whole lot of zone.......albit poorly

We played twilight zone

Good to see our offense come around a bit, just to see us a couple more injuries making future games that much more difficult to win.

What a brutal start to the season.

Jamal Parker goes down, maybe not a big deal, still lots to like about our defense. Huge loss with Lawson - dude was going to be a huge part of our d-line. Wow Garbutt looks good but doesn't make it to game 1. Alright so we carry on. Then down goes Haba and Fox. Then Nichols. Goodness gracious I must be missing someone too.

Maybe our offense can mask our problems. Nope, Oliveira is not ready for the season. Our o-line is out of sync. Lawler gets hurt. Collaros is also not at his best. Now Schoen is hurt too?

Not saying the coaching an personnel decisions are without fault. But when you put it all together I'm surprised we were close the last 2 games.

My gripe with offensive play calling tonight....they once ran a zone read look with Streveler and Oliviera which Oliviera busted for his biggest gain.  And then we never saw it again.  Hit that hard until BC shows they can manage it at all.  Especially when you're down probably our 2 best American receivers we started the game with.

When that gets rolling stick with it for a whole series, wear the defense out.

1st and 10 from BC 17 in 4th quarter.  Run that zone read/RPO package.  Instead we throw a 2 yard flat to Demski then have Wilson drop the next pass.

Kind of crazy too he's so worried about setting BC up for points there if they don't get it but also chose to not take 3 points at the end of the half or to play with more tempo there to give them a better chance at 7.

If you have faith in the D keep your offense out for 3rd and 6 then the D can hold them to a FG and you still have a shot to drive for a TD to win....if you don't get the 3rd and 6 to keep that drive going.

Keep O'Shea out of the casino...not sure he has a firm grasp on probability.

Zone is a hell of a lot harder to play effectively and requires a lot of coordination between a bunch of guys who hardly have any reps together.

Do you think there’s enough individual pieces to improve? Or is this a 2005 thing where we have a couple bright spots, but give up 400 yards passing every game?

Obviously there’s more nuance to it than one guy, but I don’t see it getting any better with BA playing safety.

Also, if they’re running the old Rich Stubler defence to a degree, is it not just a matter of time before they start getting gashed by the run? I remember that being the hallmark of those Argo teams.

I'm surprised at anyone bringing up 0-18, but maybe that is just the sting from the game talking.

We're loaded with key injuries and it seems bad ones.

Our star RB is injured and has been all season.

We lost two effective receivers for the game and were playing our backup QB out wide.

I think there was progress in both roster selection and play that game, but it wasn't consistent and holes still exist, but going 0-18 is ridiculous. If we play that same game against Ottawa last week, we win. Losing Lawson, Schoen, Lawler for extended periods of time puts a lot of pay off the cap this year. Maybe someone shakes free from another team or NFL that allows us to fill a gap. We're finding some good rookies through this process too, just hope it comes together that we can make playoffs and we get a few guys back to make a run.

Between Sask and the Elks, no way we’re going 0-18 though.

Zach is still very much a winning CFL qb. He can't do it on his own though.

Welll err.. Had he not overthrown Demski there....
