The hallmark of that D is preventing the deep ball.

Currently we are so confused in coverage and getting torched by deep ball.

On rewatch there's a bunch of plays to the boundary where Bonds locks in, stops his feet, and starts waving like "someone save my ass because I made the wrong read."  BC really did a great job of showing screen/hitch/other quick stuff then resetting.  Bonds got sucked in a lot.  They didn't go after Ford much at all in comparison to Montreal and Ottawa.

We could really use a couple vet CFL DB's that have some tread left.  Alexander is a complete disaster out there physically, Bridges is super scared of the deep stuff so when teams flood zones he's always vacating deep, even chasing routes down the middle in cover 3 when he's on the flank, leaving a ton of space 20 yards in.

This secondary will lose us games if our offense isn't going to score 30.  Pass rush is doing almost nothing as well which doesn't help matters.  Fayad looks good, Hubert looks useful.  Jefferson needs to be more engaged, have no use for him running as a spy or 3-4 style rush LB as they were doing at times last night with 3 DT's on field.

And this is what reviewing game tape sounds like.

Schoen out for season, Wheatfall out for … few weeks, probably

Schoen I figured. Wheatfall that’s actually not bad relatively. I thought his was an ACL based on what I’d read.

Yet we just needed Zach and Demski to connect on one of the easier plays of the day.

The positives from the game for those who are ready....

After the first passing play of the game we gave up zero sacks.  Zach had a normal amount of time back there to throw and he looked pretty good.

Chris Smith is an upgrade over Mitchell.  Had a nice return erased by a penalty but certainly has provided some hope for the return game going forward.

3. It's a long season.

Sure. However, they didn't and we lost. Less injuries we likely miss those plays and win. This shorthanded, we had to have them.

Im more focused now on Lawler than Scheon. How many weeks were we expecting Lawler to be out for?

Broken arm usually about 6 weeks so he might not be that far off, depending how bad it was.

Is Lucky wanting top dollars or something?

Lucky looked pretty cashed the last few games he played. I think he might be done.

That being said, a bagged out Lucky would probably still bring more value to the offence than Mitchell or Wilson.
