I do not understand that Canadian roster at all.... If that's the best players our country has to offer, we're in big trouble.

I think I get what they’re trying to do, but yeah, the team doesn’t exactly jump off the page.

Should trade our 3 goalies for 1 of Helle or Oetinger. Cuz USA don’t need both. ;)

It's going to be weird seeing Morrisey score on Helle. 🙂

The American roster looks solid but we have McDavid and McKinnon so just make sure their TOI hovers around 30-40 minutes. 🙂

USA should be the favourite tho. I hope Helle Connor and Josh stay healthy. I think mark is banged up so prob good to get time off for him. Dude rarely takes faceoffs recently so something off with him.

I’m not overly interested in the tournament tho

I don't think many people care about this even a fraction as much as the league would like. I was talking with a group of guys last night at virtual golf (relatively big flames fans) that didn't even know about the tournament.

Outside of the Olympics, I really don't think people care about supposed Best On Best.

I understand olympically why Russia isn’t involved but in a tournament like this where there’s so many Russian nhl stars, it’s dumb not having them cuz regardless of politics Canada USA and Russia are the big 3 hockey nations.

he's going to Anaheim

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reports the deal, which is still pending a trade call, will see defenceman Urho Vaakanainen and a 2025 fourth-round pick head back to the Rangers.

Ducks take on the full 8 million cap hit. No retention

Wanted out of Winnipeg. Wanted out of New York. Good riddance.

Did he actually want out of NY?  I haven’t been paying much attention to the situation, but I thought the Rangers were just looking to make some changes.  Kreider was apparently on the trade block too, at one point.

From the little I care about Trouba, meaning the little I read about it, he wanted out. The guy is a cancer. Like PLD.

He didn’t want out at all. He’s a cancer that is respected by the rangers vets? Weird. Dude blocked trades. Used his modified no trade clause. Didn’t want out of New York at all. That’s why this took so long. It’s weird Anaheim which is about as far as you can get from New York gets him tho. Blocked a Columbus trade is the rumor.

I really don’t see him as a cancer.  His teammates seem to like him and I’ve done some work for him before, and I always found him to be a good dude.

Not gonna change my mind.

I don’t get the whole Trouba thing. A bit overpaid sure but no tougher dman in the league.

Course maybe they didn’t want to be there when he killed a guy.

As for Igor….too much.

What an odd response.  No one asked you to change your mind, but it’s weird you would refuse to.

I just don't like him. That's it. Just like Noeller hates Fajardo. Think that'll ever change? There's no use explaining if you don't get it.

Jacob Trouba speaks out after being traded by the Rangers.

“I’ll be honest, I was put in a position this summer to make a decision between my career and my family,” said Trouba on Friday. “I chose my family. I would choose my family 100 times over again. I don’t feel bad about that. I was happy about it. I don’t like that it was made public necessarily or how everything unfolded so publicly, but I guess that’s part of New York and what happens. It made it difficult to play with that hanging over everything. And today, the result is the result. I guess I’m happy with moving forward but maybe not overly thrilled with how it went down. In my opinion, things could have been handled better. I’m not blaming anybody or anything. How it happened, I felt it was kind of an unfortunate ending to a lot of good times in New York.”

Hey buddy, you're a hockey player.  You play where they tell you to play, or you retire and go do something else.  You don't get to just decide where you want to play, especially if that team doesn't want you any more.  Grow up you putz!

He does tho. They gave him a modified no trade clause. How can someone be angry about a guy choosing wife and son. That’s crazy.
