Sard Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 Great news from the government banning cellphones in schools for K-8 in Manitoba: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-cellphone-ban-schools-1.7295483 It's about time, and I'm happy to see that the teachers will now have some recourse against the parents who insist that their kid has to have a phone in case they need to get a hold of them while they are in school. Mark H. Posted August 15 Report Posted August 15 This was overdue...big step in the right direction There were literally no schools who did not have an issue with this Sard and Piggy 1 1 1

I feel like they could have but chose not to, even though they knew it was a problem. I'm very interested to hear from my daughter when she gets back to school on what difference she finds it makes in her class. It's been a problem for a couple of years with a good number of the kids. She doesn't have a device herself and has been very frustrated with the other kids. Mark H. 1
