Captain Blue Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 Milligan for MOP? Would just continue to prove why the league and media can't get things right. rebusrankin, Noeller and Deiter Fan 3

Every time I changed the channel to the game they (Suitor) kept bringing up Milligan being MOP and trying to make it seem like his special team tackles + interceptions was some kind of MOP draw dropping amazing stat/fact. I could see if the guy had a gawdy amount of ints and where teams avoid throwing the ball to him and he was making game breaking plays. But this isn't the case... he reminds me of Houston a few years back where he had a lot of ints but also was burned many times. I'd give Nichols on our team the MOP over Milligan at this point and wouldn't even think twice.
wpgallday1960 Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 With that loss both Edm and Calgary are eliminated. No crossovers this year.

Super Duper Negatron Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 Just win on Friday. Sask likely to win out. Noeller and BBlink 2
Nolby Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 Stadium on friday will be pure insanity, huge game, huge implications. Noeller 1

I think there's a time and place for a discussion about how MOP is almost always going to go to an offensive skill player, and am definitely open to more defensive guys getting in on it. But you would need to be the top defensive player on an outstanding defense, and having that defense lead a great team. Montreal and Winnipeg have the best defenses in the league and I'm not sure the rest are that close. The Riders have been mostly a middling team since their hot start to the year. Milligan is not even having an "outstanding" year compared to his peers (Ford is right behind him in INTs, nobody cares about ST tackles). Deiter Fan 1

A DB didn't even win that award until 2011. There is not any award that is only for offensive players. MOP is effectively offensive player of the year. bigg jay and Noeller 2

rebusrankin Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 So a DB on a team that's 4th in point allowed and 6th in passing yards allowed a game for an 8-7-1 team should be MOP? What a load of bullshit. Noeller, Dr Zaius and wpgallday1960 3
JuranBoldenRules Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 The only way I could see a DB winning MOP is if the guy returned kicks too and had like 10 TDs overall on kick/INT returns. Noeller 1

SectionKBlackout Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 What's gonna happen when B.C. plays the Riders in west semi... Suitor vs Farhan in the booth? Rourkes number 1 Muppet vs any Riders an MOP slack jawed supporter. Should be can't miss tv. Dr Zaius, rebusrankin and Noeller 3

Jovon Johnson had a far superior year when he won MODP than Milligan is having this year and wasn't in the race for MOP. Milligan for MOP should remain only a thought and nothing more. Noeller Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 I feel like the "Milligan Is MOP!" **** is a smokescreen to ensure he gets MODP, which again is a stretch to defend, when all of the Bombers D secondary has been so much better. But because of this buzz, they'll say "well we have to give him SOMETHING..." rebusrankin 1

Meh, they can win their little "Grey Cup", our team is writing a historic story of its own and focusing on the big picture.
Nolby Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 "If the Riders win the Grey Cup, I'm making love to every human being in the province of Saskatchewan (excluding family)." Not making love to your own family members?!?!? Thats not very Saskatchewan of him, I call BS that hes even from there. Taken from a quote off RF.
