I hate the Riders. I can't stand them.

Rick Campbell sure screwed the Lions when he went with Rourke. They were strutting along in first place & Adams was on pace to throw for 6.000 yards & be the CFL's MOP. Then Rourke gets cut from Atlanta & Campbell shows no loyalty & immediately benches his best player & the team goes into a downward spiral. Even bringing back Adams & benching Rourke today couldn't get the mojo back for the Lions. Campbell cut his team off at the knees. He screwed up. What a horrible decision. He threw the season away. If I was a Lions fan, I'd demand accountability. I'd want him fired.

Good points. I was going to say that Campbell may have been under pressure from management to stick with Rourke but then I realized he IS management (co-GM)

Yep, Doman may have provided the money to sign Rourke but Campbell was the HC & it's on him how things were handled. Walk the plank.

To be fair, adams got hurt against winnipeg right? And was awful in that game anyway so maybe the shine was wearing off... they did spend big money on Rourke and Betts and got sweet **** all return on that investment at any rate. Lions D is just putrid this year.

Agreed that Adams got hurt. What Campbell should have done was play Rourke until Adams returned. Then, give the starting qb back to to Adams. Let both qbs compete at practice. Let the trust grow in Rourke. He should have been #2 all season long or until Adams lost his position to bad play. Also, play Rourke is spots to relieve Adams if he was struggling. Other teams had two qbs who could play & other HC's could handle it. Like his father with Tom Wilkinson & Warren Moon.

I have a hockey parent party after the game on Saturday. I am currently marked as a maybe. If they lose, there is no chance I want to talk to anyone.

I don't have a sense for how big a commitment that is because I don't know how long one raccoon takes.

I'm going to a concert after. If they lose, that mosh pit is getting rough.

I’ll admit, playing the Riders worries me. What the Bombers can do is exploit their pass defence, which has been poor. Only issue is that Zach has not been effective in the playoffs. He’ll need to buck that trend.

Good one. Yes, Buck will have to "buck" that trend, too. I hope that Younger was paying attention to yesterday's game. I saw a lot of ineffective 3-man "rushes" by the Lions. Let's hope that he can come up with a better plan to semi-neutralize Harris.

Well yeah...they know they aren't gonna get the chance next week.

Just thought of a Winnipeg tradition we could start in this year’s playoffs if the score favours us:

The winning team gets to throw Gatorade on the losing coach. Fun for all involved. :)

The Riders worry me for one reason - they know how to take away the football and we’ve got some pretty turnover prone players. As much as I hate the Riders, Mace has his team believing in a very important mantra. Obsession with possession. If we mirror that next weekend, good luck to the Riders. They can’t compete with our O.

Also, all this talk about their weak OL? Who cares. Our DL is dogshit. That washes out. I’ll be shocked if our DL comes to play.
