just read this week's entire thread ... happy with the patriotism but not so pleased with the worry warts

the west final is not going to be played on paper, no matter how good our presciptive analysis

personnel decisions are mostly irrelevant but a more talented player may make a big hilite play (I believe our talent is better this year than last)

its going to be won based on character and true gut wrenching grit and confidence

the riders have been on a roller coaster and at the pinnacle of their rail ... we all know what will stop someone on a roll

some have a winning tradition - others just show well

the bombers are that confident heart that refuses to panic ... they have an amazing 4th quarter victory mode

this is the house that MOS  built

a bad bounce or two can change the course of a game, sometimes irreparably but most bomber victories I remember, the veterans come back methodically to save the day

an when providencce is on their side they accept their gift

THEY ARE MORE THAN LUCKY

The West Final approaches. The final test before the ultimate test.

Winnipeg. Saskatchewan.

The stage is set, the stakes higher than ever. Brothers. Rivals. Neighbors. The clash of titans. Two fanbases that burn with unrelenting fire. This is no ordinary game. This is destiny, tangible in the air, thick with anticipation. My heart pounds. Fear and excitement blend into a single force.

On paper, we stand tall as prairie grass. In practice, when our team finds its rhythm, we've steamrolled them before. Confidence? Yes, maybe too much, but it’s earned. When the players take the field, we’ll see what’s real. Their defense? Overhyped, in my eyes. Their offense? Best left unspoken. We’ve only grown stronger as the weeks have passed. Those who were once shadows, Dobson, Jones, Ayers, now rise to their true form.

And Zach? Oh, Zach :). This is November. When the cold bites, he thrives. If he gets going, they will not stop us. Ten points in the first quarter? The game will already be ours. Mark it down. I’ve got my Grey Cup ticket already, waiting.

Let the battle begin. The Blue and Gold shall prevail. Welcome.

Great storylines for both games.

Winnipeg tries to extend its dominance of the West division and earn a third Cup for this cycle of players a year prior to the game being on their own field.

Saskatchewan's rookie head coach tries to get to the big dance in his first year and take the one scalp that will instantly make him a Rider legend.

Montreal has been the best team over the last 12 months and looks for a rare back to back Cup win.

Toronto has revenge and redemption on offer and has a chance to use that chip on their shoulder to get back to the big game and reassert their Eastern dominance.

(also, weird subplot for Argo fans: 3 of Ricky's disciples and his heir all square off!)

I'm a bundle of nerves, but these are the times a football fan lives for.

Plus 12 isn’t exactly what I’d call normal western final weather but 30 mph wind gusts is closer so guess we see which Zach shows up. The one from playoffs past who isn’t very good or the more tactical version we have seen the last few weeks. If it’s the one from the past few weeks, we will be ok. Starts with the hogs tho. Should be able to tell early if it’s happy feet Zach or not.

were Collaros, Harris, and Fajardo ever on the Argos at the same time?... I'm leaning towards Fajardo showed up after Zach left...

I'm sure the people getting the stadium prepped...greatly appreciate it.

I'll never forget the image of Wade out there with a shovel helping clear out after that snowstorm in 2021 or whenever it was... This year will make their lives a hell of a lot easier.

Harris was #3 in 2012 when we won and Zach was on the IR. Harris and Collaros were there in 2013. Harris was with us till 2015 when Cody showed up.

I do not care for that combo. The gold on jersey doesn't match the gold on the pants. It drives me crazy.

I think a nice big W will help lessen your frustration. :)

W as in just win and send these greenies back to wherever they slink around on a day to day basis.

Hopefully if Zach has learned anything from the last 2 GC cup losses, it's take what is given and don't risk forcing the ball downfield when there's nothing there.

Hopefully he's learned to not be injured (2022) and to not have all of his receivers be injured (2023)

Thanks Chatgpt.

Sorry I've missed breaking your balls on this.

Welcome back.

Go Blue.

I'm just peeking in here...and it looks like the same three arguments are still circling, with the same four posters leading the charge. What a silly little corner of the internet this is. Go Blue
