Modesty is not my friend.

You can believe in yourself, have confidence in yourself and be modest all at the same time.

Once again, there's just something about his interviewing skills that just don't land well with me.

He can't afford to be honest with himself or the media.

Is he counting Calvillo and Maas in this?

He was with Collaros for a cup of coffee. Now we know why the Riders sold low on Zac, it was hurting Fajardo's feelings having him there.

Good point.  I was thinking T.O. but wasn't sure if Harris qualified as incredibly talented (Maas either for that matter).

******* Faj... That is just the most "him" answer ever. One of the most wildly overrated and arrogant players of my lifetime. He truly and honestly believes he's more than a career 3rd stringer cosplaying a starter. **** do I hate that guy...

If Montreal is smart they send Fajardo packing and keep The younger guy.

Sometimes, having two incredibly talented quarterbacks is not a good thing because it divides people. It divides fans, it divides guys in the locker room, it divides coaches,” Fajardo said in his end-of-season media availability on Monday. “I have all the faith in Coach Maas and in Danny in them making the right decision — whatever that decision is.”

Send him packing if I’m Montreal.

Typical "poor me, why is everyone so mean to me?" answer from Fajardo... I can't believe we lost to this loser last year... still so frustrating

So what are you trying to say here? Do you like him or not? 🙂

- He choked in The Big Game

-He is overpaid and the Riders are tight up against the cap.

Zach choked in the big game last year and is on the wrong side of 30 and is paid highly.  Also has the concussion history... so why didn't we cut him at the beginning of this season?

Unless they have faith in Patterson or trade for VAJ/Ford it wouldn't make sense to throw an unknown at QB.  Also every starting QB gets paid big... I don't get why people keep making a big deal about contracts for guys who start in the CFL.  Everyone who is proven is going to get a big contract.   You can't sign a for sure for $250 000.

It would have made more sense for Tracker to say he always chokes in the big game. Zach has 3 rings. Harris zero. (as starter anyway). Both QBs needed to be great on Saturday. Only 1 was.

I agree with your other takes. Though I wouldn't be signing Harris for more than 350k. He's not the future there. If he doesn't want to play for that, than bye. On to the next one.

I wouldn't sign Harris to 350k unless there was no money up front. With every year past 35, the chances of a long injury absence increase substantially. If you re-sign Harris you gotta have a plan B, and the SMS for a plan B.

It’s so funny because all I could think is the riders down 3 scores and he’s dinking and diming late in the fourth. All I could think is this will probably save his stats from being bad but he effectively threw in the towel trying to win the actual football game.

Thanks mainly to a sparkling completion percentage, he reversed that trend on Sunday. His stats – 19 of 23, 236 yards, no touchdowns and the one interception .

D allowed Fajardo and Montreal to score late tho.

I hope this season ends up being fools gold for the Riders. 9-8-1 season mired by a 7 game winless stretch but buoyed by an otherworldly turnover ratio. An aging QB that finally seems to be able to find the end zone (on something like 21% of his drives) but of the 11 games he started, 5 of them were against the 3 teams that missed the playoffs (and were the worst in opponent TD percentage).

But you made it to the West Finals! Run it back Kings!

O'Day is way ahead of you in packaging how great his work got them to this 9-8-1 season and how not delivering more were on someone/something else (rookie HC coach/learning curve, injuries, Trevor Harris's parents not loving him etc etc).

They would have a pretty strong QB room if they could sign Harris for $300k and backfill with MBT or Arbuckle.

Yea it feels like the thinking that less than average is the enemy of average. Average is the enemy of good. Good is the enemy of great. And so forth.

Where in this thinking do these QB's fit to accomplish the ultimate goal of winning a GC?

Though CF is an example that it can be down with an average QB.

Football is the ultimate team sport as we know.

Look at it this way, if the Bombers could backfill with MBT or Arbuckle for a single year heading into next year's GC , they'd be in a much stronger position than they are currently with Dolegala and Wilson as backups.  How many years can Walters roll the dice on Zach remaining healthy for the entire season?  They've already been incredibly fortunate with his health.

I'm fine with Streveler as our backup for the 2nd half of next year.
