Is Arbuckle really Kelly lite? I don't think he has the mobility or the running ability of Kelly.

Perhaps that isn't the best way I could have said it. It's more that Arbuckle can make all of the throws that our Offence requires of him... so maybe it's more correct to say that it will be the Argos Offence Lite.

Let’s make this a tradition for your families. Every year we sit down as a family and watch our Bombers play for the Grey Cup. You could also throw in an annual family friendly roast of the Riders and Argos for good measure to add a little spice to the tradition. :)

Fly by in coming.

Another way to say it is, Argos suck?

So what it's been this entire season.

Game comes down to Bombers answering Argos pass rush.

Bombers D doesn't lose games this season.  Given up 30+ twice and we won both games.  Given up 3 TD's in 4 of 19 games.  We've lost one game we've scored 20+ points in this season and that was June 21.

It's all on our O.

Control the Argos D line, ZC and the O have to play like they did in the West Final, don't let Grant break one, limit big plays on D, celebrate a 3rd Grey Cup in 5 years

100 per cent agree, plus we will need to eliminate or at least limit turnovers. That was probably the biggest factor in Montreal losing to the Argos,

aside from the game plan... if we have choice of jerseys (which I believe we do as the West team and the team with the better regular season record)... can we finally go with Blue this time?... I think we've seen the superstition with the white jerseys is over...

Just not the big W blue, those are hideous and ill die on that hill.

More like Jake Maier lite, though every QB is lighter than Jake Maier....

At BC Place, the site of this year’s Grey Cup  Zach Collaros is a career 5-1, with 12 TDs to 4 INTs, averages 321 passing yards, a completion percentage of 71%, and has a QB rating of 111.74. Pretty gaudy numbers in the dome.

I was there in 2014 to witness his one loss, against Calgary.

It's the Grey Cup - either team can win. But it is called FOOTball.

Will Sergio be the hero? He can kick massive distance but his overall FG percentage this season is under 80% compared with Haj for Argos who is above 90%.

Also, field position. Punting distance + accuracy + hang time. Sheahan in 18 games has the worst punting average in the league. And he is punting to Janarion Grant. Sheesh. Love Janarion Grant. Just not this time.

So ... kick cover. Anecdotally (who's got stats on this ... ) Bombers punt cover team has been underwhelming this year.

I still like our chances - despite our special teams being sub-par this year.

Same, there hasn’t been a Grey Cup game in my daughter’s life without the Bombers in it.
She’s only 3, but she was as into the west final as much as any kid that age could possibly be, including insisting on wearing a Bomber shirt and asking me “We don’t like the green guys, right Dad?”

Do any of you know if we'll be the home team / on the home bench? I'm assuming so since the game is in the West and we have the higher seed and better record, but hoping to see if others know before we buy our tickets.

The game is in the West so the Bombers are the home team.

I think you're stretching his capabilities, granted Arbuckle  was at the helm when the Argos beat the Bombers earlier in the season, but lord have mercy his average completion was 4 yds.

12/22; 87 yards; 0 TD; 0 INT

All in all largely irrelevant since bc won't be playing.

I respectfully disagree. How he plays in some conditions bears relevance.

Show me a qb who doesn't play better Ina  climate controlled environment.... what do stats vs. The lions have to do with playing Toronto?

Bombers are best in the CFL in punt and kick return avg yards.

I have no idea if all qbs play better in a dome, I just know Zach has played extremely well in BC Place and that would have an impact on his psychology, his outlook for Grey Cup, especially because, historically, he has been just average in chilly conditions.

Our average punt return against is best in the league, 9.6 yards.  Montreal was second at 10.5, Toronto was worst at 13.6.

We tied for lead on kickoff return average against at 20.0 yards.  We're 5th in average kickoff distance but 2-5 are within 0.5 yards.

Us and BC are the only teams to not have a return TD against.

Net punt was 6th but 2-7 are within 1 yard, 3-7 within 0.4 yards.  Edmonton was highest by almost 3 yards.  Calgary worst by a couple yards.

We're 3rd in average opponent field position...but the entire league is between the 36-39 yard line on average.

The disappointing thing with Sergio is the depth of kicks he's missing.  Way too many 30-50 range.

Lowest in penalties by 8 over the season on D and ST.  Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton almost doubled us.  Over 18 games our opponents took 12 fewer penalties against than any other teams opponents too...refs take the night off for us I guess.

Overall across the league special teams in terms of kicking and coverage is remarkably solid.  Shocking when someone makes a mistake these days.
