Argos have good depth and Dinwiddie has blossomed into a darned good coach, but Arbuckle ain't no Kelly.

No argument from me (or the oddsmakers) on that one.

I get that you're joking and needling the Argo fan here...

But don't kid yourself into believing that the Argos don't have a few paths to victory this weekend. The Bombers are big favorites and it's deserved considering the circumstances, but they are playing a team that even without its star is the most talented and deepest roster in the league, are more physical, have a coach who routinely out gameplans and adjusts his opposition, and elite defenders and specialists who can score & take away the ball.

the path to victory/loss to me is the same as they worry I had on WF....Coaching and how we use our players and gameplan we come up with.

Across the board pretty even match up....I'll give Argo's Dline advantage...returner and punter and maybe I would have said O-line.....6..7 weeks ago....but now I comfortable at that being a wash.....

QB ...RB....DB's....WR's (any team with a Lawler and Demski...and their exp. in big games should have the advantage)  Place kicking is a wash as if I had to pick a guy to trust in a game winner in the league would be one of these 2

Coaching is gonna win this tho...and hopefully the overall exp of our staff....with multiple success/failures now....allows us to get the edge

Weather and conditions will not be a factor....It's totally on who is best prepared....and who's big time players step up

Beg to differ.

I don't read Winnipeg as a blitzing defence really, but if you're up against a backup in the big game it would basically be dereliction of duty for Younger not to go after him early and often.

Against a guy like Arbuckle you just let him throw and hang himself.

Time???  What time?  Betcha the Argos will be coming with their 9-man rotation again, there's not enough x and o's to nullify their pass rush everytime, or enough Wheaties left in the box to overcome the physical advantage they hold in the trenches.   Zach better make like his best Trevor Harris and get rid of the ball fast!  No dawdling or doodling around in the backfield he has to avoid any of those costly fumbles that kill drives and sap momentum.

Unlike Harris we have threats that will eat you alive if you want to do something dumb like bringing max pressure all the time.

You are sniffing glue. No nice way to put it. Sorry.

You think you have an advantage in talent and depth? I'd say that's pretty even.  More physical? Wait until Sunday because physicality is also our game. A coach that routinely out game plans and adjusts to his opposition? Bombers stack up with any coaching staff. PERIOD. Defenders and specialists who can score and take the ball away? Bombers match up no problem. All these things that you list at worst for the Bombers are a wash.

Reasons we will win?

QB....like not even in the same stratosphere.

Team defence....Bombers are the best by a country mile

Big time players....Bombers have the guys who thrive on the big stage.

Culture, dedication, heart......we win by a million miles

I wish I were, 🤪 then I might feel a little better about our chances.

But I wonder what part of what I wrote it is that you'd take issue with? I doubt it's that we have elite defenders and specialists, or that we are more physical and have coaches who win us games with savvy setups and adroit adjustments. I suspect that it's the view that the Argos roster is the most talented and deepest one in the league? You may disagree, but you think that's so off base as to be of glue sniffing level wrong? Really?

I disagree with all that you wrote being an advantage Argos. I take issue with it all. Elite defenders....have you seen our defence this year? It has been elite top to bottom. More physical? That is your opinion but I hope Brady and the hogs read this because it will be a can of whoop ass on Sunday. You think you have some kind of coaching advantage? Really? Glue is the only explanation. Deepest most talented roster? Ummm....no...

I don't know how many times we can say it: Kelly makes no difference. Toronto wins because of their defense and ST. Plain and simple. We have never once beaten them in a GC and until I see otherwise, I will not have confidence in a win....

IDK, Cory. The 3 games prior to the Est final we had perfect play from the QB spot. Actual perfect efficiency for 3 straight games. Drive and play extending scrambles and the best arm in the league. I know you dislike him on multiple levels, but minimizing his importance when the oddsmakers clearly accept the gravity of his absence just seems like it's a personal thing for you.

On the bright side, I got the Argos at 450 yesterday because of it... heckuva value bet there.

The Argos having elite defenders has nothing to do with whether or not the Bombers do (they do). The initial point was that absent The Chad, the Argos have won games with a defence and special teams which steals the ball for us and adds points.

The Argos being more physical is because they have been in each of our meetings since 2022 and I don't think this is a splitting hairs thing, I think it's a clear call. The coaching advantage is likewise from head to heads since then. Dinwiddie has out adjusted Osh and I don't see how you'd say otherwise.

Gonna go ahead and disagree with the argos being more physical part. Argos are a tough matchup for the Bombers because they are one of the few teams that can match the Bombers physicality.

Our OL and DL will show up....make no mistake about that.  Each of our matchup since 2022? We played you guys once in 2023 and beat the tar out of you guys running for almost 200 yards against your vaunted physicality.

Exactly. It's a saw off at worst for the Bombers. The Argos have given us trouble mainly because of turnovers the past couple years.

Arbuckle has won games in the CFL before and Toronto is a damn good team. I am not expecting an easy matchup by any stretch.

Easy...nope...but if they bring their best and we bring ours it's a Bomber victory.

Yes as the Argo's demonstrated last week, one better have that ball secured high and tight or they gonna get it from you.

I just threw up in my mouth writing that compliment.

Turnovers will have to be avoided for sure. However, having watched Arbuckle play in the past I am sure that any turnover advantage they think they might have is completely null and void now. He tosses a ton of errant passes.

Bottom line, keep collaros upright and give him a bit of time to work and he will do damage.

Yup.

Uncomfortable ZC = Our Defense may not only have to stop their O but score as well (throw in our ST's for good measure).

Comfortable ZC = High probability of success barring injury to any of his playmakers  and on our D (fingers and toes crossed, an amen and great appreciation to the football Gods).

Nye on WST being a complete tool slobbering over the Argos if anyone wants a good laugh

They should put him in the broadcast booth with Glenn Suitor and Dustin Nielsen.

Oh the fun to watch as a BB fan.

Had to give the interview a re-listen.

Nye: 0 complimentary things said about the Bombers

Also Nye: Argors have superior Specials, OL, DL, best rb, one of the best receiving corps

edit: haha he thinks Harjullahu is pretty good, no mention of Castillo
