We beat the Rangers in their own barn to make it 15 out of 16 to start the season, the Leafs get shut out at home and we’re preparing to play in our fifth straight Grey Cup.

Okay then. :)

Maybe this is a good sports city after all. Let’s include the Basketball squad as having a successful year and the Goldeyes that made it to the final series. Good venues all around. We are ok.

This is such an unreal start for the Jets. First team to 30 pts.  Just a torrid pace.

Why free agents don't want to play for the Jets is baffling. Especially since their record is what it has been the past two seasons. Their loss, I guess.

Live in Winnipeg.... live somewhere hot and beautiful with tax benefits and much more things to do.    Tough choice.

Kahkonen loaned to moose. They will have a decision soon but my guess he stays in the A right now. Why? Cuz the moose goalies are both rookies really. He’s a veteran presence

Hmm would they not have to waive him again if they want to assign him to the Moose...again? 😆

I’m not sure. They obviously only team to claim him right since they’re ranked 32nd on the waiver wire right now so I think that means they can send him down without. I’m not sure tho.

Don’t see Comrie who is 3 and 0 and you can actually see him cheerleading the jets on while backing up being sent down. I dunno. Think Comrie a good room guy and hes been pretty good.

Players want to play in California and it’s taxed hard. Winnipeg isn’t for everyone just like LA or Miami isn’t either. Some ppl prefer the Canadian city, others don’t. Who cares.

they are here to play hockey. They live here part time. It’s the families that matter in most cases and Winnipeg does well there surprisingly.  They love it when they get here. The perception that you have of Winnipeg is wrong and you and others like you keep spreading the bullshit. For some reason you think they hate Winnipeg cuz you do eventho you live here. Honestly dude. Just bullshit after more bullshit after more bullshit. Leave or just shut it already really. Cuz guess what you can leave despite the excuse of but Work or but family or but whatever else. You been shitting on Winnipeg for years now, leave already.

I have lived in Winnipeg. Born & raised there. I live in Calgary now. I can tell you I've been to Edmonton enough to know it's not any better than Winnipeg. Buffalo is a POS. Minneapolis has brutal winters as well. I've seen it snow here in calgary in August. One year back in the 90's, my wife & I took my In Laws from Winnipeg to see the Calgary Stampede Chuckwagon races & stage show. Early July & the temp was +2C. My father asked me, "How can you live in this place?"

Players retire around 35 on average... they have maybe 50 years after hockey to live in paradise. That decade & a half short window closes awfully fast. Especially as players get odler. Sean Moynahan could have stayed here. The Jets wanted him but he chose to play for Columbus. A team that looks like it'll finish last in the NHL. He got his money. I guess that usurps championships.

Winnipeg is my home town living in Alberta for 20 years and counting. I am a transplanted Manitoban. We all know Winnipeg and our province has its foibles but anyone who genuinely trashes Winnipeg and our province can go F themselves, said of course with as much respect as I can muster. :)

It is the only place I would ever want to live, now, for the rest of my life. I've seen the west, now I'm ready for the best.

The original quote was "Why free agents don't want to play for the Jets is baffling"

Do I need to link the article which has Winnipeg #1 voted by the players as the least desireable destination in the NHL?   Also are you suggesting this club has not had the challenge in signing or keeping guys with the team?   This isn't a conversation or an opinion,  it is fact that Winnipeg isn't a place that most players want to play in.      Why would any 20 something year old making millions of dollars would desire to play in Winnipeg which has terrible weather,  F level night life/entertainment ,  nothing close by,   in Canada,  no tax incentives?

I gave the reason and for some reason your emotions cloud your judgements and your feelings are hurt because I told the truth?
