Wanna-B-Fanboy Posted November 16 Report Posted November 16 Thanks man- I really appreciate you sharing your experience. wbbfan and Zach Schnitzer 2
Arnold_Palmer Posted November 16 Report Posted November 16 Love it man! These really are the best days and all I can do is soak it all in. I lost my grandfather shortly before the 2019 run and we used to watch a lot of games together over the years. I was so sad we couldn’t share that moment together, almost 30 years of watching together without a Bomber Grey Cup win. I’ll never take this journey for granted it’s a one in a life time type of run. Zach Schnitzer, wbbfan, BigBlueFanatic and 5 others 5 3

I’m sure he and my pops are getting ready to watch tomorrow and celebrate. Bubba Zanetti and wbbfan 1 1
MOBomberFan Posted November 16 Report Posted November 16 My desire to see a win can also be described as unhealthy, that's probably the case for most of us here. This isn't just any championship, it's a once in a generation dynasty run not every sports fan gets to experience. A loss is just not an option A common theme here and elsewhere seems to be 'it's not just about the sports, it's about the people you enjoy it with' so win or lose I hope everyone takes a moment to appreciate those around you tomorrow (and here online too... I appreciate yall) wbbfan, Zach Schnitzer and Mark H. 1 1 1

I don't care tho what media...rival fans...other team players...pundits say. To me this is a dynasty win or lose....A win would make them an all-time best team in my opinion but a loss still cements it.....In this era of SMS....changes in the game...everything.....this wont be seen again in our lifetimes....if ever. I come from a playing and coaching back ground...and know how hard it is to just keep teams together....let alone keep winning to get to the Cup...and even keeping the support staff and coaches intact is a major feat. To discount anything cause we dropped a couple of them is just hater's hating Zach Schnitzer, HardCoreBlue, coach17 and 5 others 2 6

That might suggest something. 🙂 Zach Schnitzer, Rod Black, wbbfan and 1 other 4

Goalie Posted November 16 Report Posted November 16 A dynasty? Isn’t that like a falcon crest or knots landing.
White Out Posted November 17 Report Posted November 17 It's crazy to think how different the narrative around this team and the legacy of this team will be in a matter of three hours or so. The 80s teams always are immortal giants in my mind as a kid growing up and a win tonight will mean that our team of this last few years has surpassed them, which would be really cool after 29 years of not winning the big game. wbbfan Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Die-nasty. That’s what my old Chrysler in high school was called. Doesn’t matter though. Conversations over. 2021 is a long time ago. We aren’t those guys anymore more. rebusrankin and SpeedFlex27 2
Booch Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Yup...I don't wanna hear ya but 2 cup wins...5 appearances when critical of Osh anymore...last win bein 4 yrs ago now...and 3 straight epic flops...his rope has to be shortened up now...he's used up his grace from previous successs wbbfan 1

We're a team that has great regular seasons but can't win their very last playoff game of the year. wbbfan and JohnnyAbonny 2
Booch Posted November 18 Report Posted November 18 Dynasty are winners....great teams get to the dance often...but cant seal the deal...we are a great team on a great run.....I more apt to say were a great team who over the last 2 yrs especially have seriously regressed and are on the edge of really tripping next yr if we don't do the right thing for 2025 and cut bait with some players...there are probably 6...7 who shouldnt be back....a couple cause they just suck now...and some where the bang for the buck isnt there and need that cash to re-stock with in their prime talent

BigBlueFanatic Posted Tuesday at 02:53 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:53 AM Bombers are to the Argos what the Ti-Cats are to the Bombers… makes me sick Noeller and Tracker 2
bluto Posted Tuesday at 06:13 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 06:13 PM Perspective check because some of you are my internet friends and I feel compelled to pull you back from the ledge a little bit: I saw someone recently reference the Bud Grant Dynasty era. To me, that's not a Dynasty because it was 3 in 7. But it is looked upon by many both in and out of Manitoba as the zenith, the true halcyon days of the Bombers within living memory. Fact: if you win next year or the following year, you have equaled or bettered the Bud Grant Bombers.
Noeller Posted Tuesday at 06:18 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 06:18 PM People have lost their ******* minds. I knew it would be bad with 3 Cup losses in a row, but seriously wanting to trade Zach for VAJ is over the edge. People need to step back for awhile and come back in a more rational state...

It's not just the 3 in a row for me. It's his performance in 5 in a row, his performance for most of this season and his age. He may be the present of this club but he's not the future. VAJ is younger and has a contract through 2026.

Disagree- we here are rightfully pissed at Collaros (among others) but Collaros is the target of opportunity as the de facto leader of the team and highest paid player. Anyone can have a bad day, but he has been trending downward and choking far too often.
