Anyone can have a bad day, but he has been trending downward and choking far too often. And the time to move on was last offseason when we could have kept Dru Brown. Collaros too over paid, too inconsistent and too poor in Grey cups.... that won't get solved by sliding in an overpaid, inconsistent, poor playoff VAJ. Tracker and Goalie 1 1

I don't ever want to hear that word again when it comes to this era of the Bombers from 2019 to 2024. Begone, not to be spoken of again. The Bombers staggered through the playoffs last year and choked in the Cup game. This year, they mostly picked up where they left off with dismal play, so where anyone got the idea they were on the verge of greatness, I do not know.

Agreed, the CFL media grabbed this dynasty discussion and ran with it and in many cases twisted it into abject failure rather than a side-effect of a successful franchise. HardCoreBlue 1

But yea a dynasty would be winning all 5. We just the best of the west for 5 years. That’s still pretty solid tho regardless of the A in drama class. Edited November 23 by Goalie Bigblue204 1

17to85 Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 The only team that for sure wouldn't trade their past 3 seasons for winnipeg is Toronto and Montreal is debatable depending on if you value 1 cup win more than 3 appearances. Noeller 1

Booch Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 How is bringing up...discussing.. pointing blame...whatever u wanna call it entitlement?? Entitlement to what...wanting success and accountability? Any other business it's required...
17to85 Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 The entitlement is demanding open transparent answers in the media. Noeller 1
MOBomberFan Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 The Bombers players and coaches may not have brought home the big prize the past few seasons but the Bombers are still wildly successful as a franchise by virtually every other metric... top of the league in attendance thanks to a massive contingent of season ticket holders, an overall record that eclipses the rest of the league dating back nearly a decade, continuous improvements to gameday experience and stadium operations... flaws exist (what org is flawless in sports or otherwise?) but to suggest they are unsuccessful is disingenuous Imagine being a HAM or CGY fan. Pickle Rick Posted November 25 Report Posted November 25 Still recovering from last sunday. At least we got that glorious west final, that's what will hopefully stick with me when I think back to this season. rebusrankin 1

If that's your best memory then that tells me that our expectations are already being lowered. Winning a WDF means nothing if we let other teams find ways to beat us in the Grey Cup three years straight. We need a reboot. A reset as a team. I love the Bombers & have all my life but there's no way I trust Mike O'Shea to do the right thing for this team. To play his best combination of players with just seven starting Canadians. Now, we're being deserted like rats off of a sinking ship because the assistants & scouting staff can see what's going on. The window has closed with Mike as HC. What's the point of Goveia/McManus bringing in young players only to have them buried on the roster behind veterans ten to 15 years older than them who no longer can perform?? No wonder they want out. Edited November 27 by SpeedFlex27 Tracker, rebusrankin, Booch and 2 others 1 2 2

I can see Ted and Danny wanting to perhaps move on as of late...the fruits of all their off-seson work seems to get bypassed for old....tired and sub par favorites.....personnel guys will only deal with that for so long SpeedFlex27 1

Can't go by that..as orher teams also spent time..money...resources into offseason recruiting...so aren't gonna piss all over their scouting departments work either. We have had even several guys just recently who we gave nary a chance or even a token shot at displacing someone and cut who ended up in NFL camps as well...good enough for that but not good enough for the mighty bombers...the issue here in a lot of instances is doesn't matter who we bring in when Osh has a favorite...or a veteran he views from 3..4 yrs ago tho isn't that player no more...they have no chance in earning the spot even if better...or even at par but higher upside...
bluto Posted December 4 Report Posted December 4 Player Personnel is such a strange sort of square-peg round-hole thing at times. There are times when you cut a player who looks hopeless to the point of not even being able to play football and you wonder why he was even brought in. So he gets cut, another team decides to plug him in and he is a runaway success who goes on to thrive (see: Cameron Judge, Toronto, Calgary) Goalie 1

All Esks HC Pete Ketella cuts in 1983 who ended up with the Bombers & key components in our 1984 GC win. Willard Reaves & James Murphy are both on Bombers Ring of Honour inside PAS.
