The franchise is In an interesting position. With this loss, comes a stench. No longer bad luck, no longer flukey, no longer "well get em next year!"

Things can't stay status quo, but with a home town grey cup next year, drastic change isn't coming

They still won the west and made a 5th straight Grey cup... they still had a top defense throughout the year and even in this game... it's not as dire as all that, some tweaks needed. Move on from some older bodies and bring in some good replacements and you're still a contender.

Yeah, I agree.  It just frightens me now because, correct me if I'm wrong, Zach hasn't played well in a single one of the grey cups. 

Well enough to win yes, but not well. This year was the "dome, indoors!" And it was his worst showing yet 

Before the gc I saw bighill planning on returning. For a minimum salary as a back up??? 

As much as I hate to say it, there is a lot of fat on this roster to be trimmed.

You make it sound so easy. It ain't happening. Osh will keep his veterans. Bighill will be welcomed back with open arms. The only way that changes is if Osh is forced to make changes. That's the problem he won't do it on his own. It's a huge problem.

Is that a serious comment or a sarcastic one? Walters can make the decision but would he? I have my doubts.

Lucky said on the post game show, he received a fine last week for wearing the wrong gloves and was warned at half-time he'd receive another fine if he didn't change them, so he did.  He didn't blame the gloves for mishandling the kick, he mentioned something about the 3/4 sleeve affecting the catch.

I was just about to say, and I pretense this by saying I have a lot of respect for Mr oshea and am forever appreciative,

But when you say in your post game interview that Zach can't grip the ball 

Then what the **** is he doing playing?!?!?! If he can't GRIP the ball then he can't play.

It's either a lie/embellished or it's just absolute madness. Neither Is good

No coach is going to sit Zach in that situation... but it needed to be done regardless. Would Wilson manage the game and win? I don't know... but there was no doubt when I saw collaros pulling on that glove I knew the ints were coming.

Wilson completed the pass to wheatfall, he just dropped it. A little over thrown ( probably correcting for the previous one) but a catch that a pro football player should be making.

I liked the way the kid hung in the pocket like that. Looked poised for a qb so raw.

I agree that most coaches wouldn't make the change. But if he can't grip the ******* ball, what choice is there.

Man, I'm just pissed off.  I just can't believe they played so poorly. It's a long list of **** ups this year

Losing three straight Grey Cups isn't as bad as not winning the championship for 29 years. It doesn't erase what we did, winning back-to-back, but it takes a really big chunk out of it. Like it or not, it really does put a giant stench on this organization.

The damage this team, coaching staff, and players did to our organizations reputation with this 3rd straight championship loss is considerate. This will only get worse with time.

Zach Collaros has played terrible in the last 5 grey cups:

average of 17/26 (65%), only 206 yards (over the 5 games).

2 TDs (both in one game - 0 in the other 4), 8 Interceptions.

 

He is the reason we lost.

I'm pretty sure any Coach who has team in mind...and puts aside his love/belief that a veteran player no matter how much he thinks is the cats meow isnt cutting it....or is hurt and playing is to the detriment of the team would sit said player....I have never been involved with a coach who didn't

Osh is not that guy...has failed us in this regard time and time again....not seeing it but gloming and clinging to 4 and 5 yrs ago success is laughable...and sad

Dude needs to pull his head out his ass and do the right thing...Imagine if he cleaned some things up...would most likely had 4 cups at minimum and some ungodly regular season record

I think it more some walked away from here as we ...at coaches request wanted to hang on to some of "his guys" instead.....The only changed we made were due to injury, and I can guarantee that If Biggie was an injury that didnt require seson ending surgery Osh would have played him....why wouldn't he...he did before

A Bailey sure would have looked helpful with gritty grimy catches yesterday as a late season add to stick it to the Argo's who dumped him.....A returner who could flip a field and effect how a team kicked to you sure would have been effective...we could have and should have still had both...we chose to go a different route...things gotta change and in a big way

coaches...who win the big games would...and have in the past...we rest on laurels and past greatness until they literaly suck....and as of last few yrs....have nothing in the hopper to replace then with...even if we wanted to

This has been a great 5 years, 5 cups, 2 wins, lots of great moments, that is behind the Grant years but either ahead of or tied with the run we had in the 80s/early 90s. I know we'll be on here in 30 years talking about these teams but its always going to have the what might have been aspect.

SSK is 4-15 (about 21%) in Grey Cup games

We lost our QB when we were down by a point. Wilson was not going to win us that game either. Tough choice for MOS, and one that would have been wrong either way because we had no real backup QB. I'm not trying to crap on Wilson, but does anybody here think he leads us to victory? Hindsight will tell us that Zac sucked when he returned too....but you gotta go with him even if his finger is cut and hope he guts it out. Unfortunately, he could not.

Ya he was playing fine. Receivers were the big let down. Just trash. If they weren’t dropping the ball they were going offside.

I wish I could put my finger on it and figure "it" out....so does our coaching and management I'm sure......

 

We came out in the West final and almost executed perfectly...we were dialed in and focused...yesterday we looked totally different....we seemed to be distracted and sluggish...we started with a penalty, then a step out of bounds on what seemed like an avoidable instance, then we dropped balls on offence, went offside more, messed up play calls inside the 10yrd line, fumbled, took tough mental penalties from guys like Wilson and Nichols...guys who are smart and don't do that... Our DB's that made the plays last week were a half a step behind yesterday...in the West final they tipped and deflected and closed time and time again, last night they were so close...but just were off........ 

 

Why, how could we look so different, T.O and Dinwiddie deserve huge props, they were dialed in and executed where we didn't

 

Sure individuals didn't perform great, but it was deeper than an individual, it was a collective, a collective that was "off".....now we and our management team have an entire offseason to dive into the "why"

 

Once again congrats to Dinwiddie and the Argo's

how do you know that tho?...You don't.....just like we don't lnow if he could pull it out.....that being aid he can run...move around....hold the ball....and has twice the arm of ZC..sometimes a coach has to growa set...set his bias aside and just do it.....
