Bottom line is Collaros is a perennial choke artist. Won the first Grey Cup with a generational defense, did the absolute bare minimum to win the 2nd. If Steinhauer doesn't hand the Bombers the game on a platter they lose.

Completely shits the bed 3 straight.

I called our offense scatter gun today which I think is an apt description. Our plays were all over the place. It sems like we had no game plan. I'm thinking that Buck just called plays with really no rhyme or reason.

Actually I thought they went away from the running game much too soon. They were down by a point at the half and by 4 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Most Outstanding Player in the league had only 11 carries. And it wasn't like the Argos were stopping him. He averaged 7.6 yards per carry. Buck Pierce can wear that....

I still can't believe how offside 32 was on the first pick six and that it wasn't overturned.

considering they stepped in to over turn one on a basically inconsequential play on us...totally bush league and pathetic....did they step in on the Lawler catch too?....and I cant even remember,,,,they sure like to choose their moments at the ol CC to make a call that was unsolicited

So, Chris Streveler has thrown the same number of regulation time TDs as Zach in the last 5 Grey Cups. That number is 1. In 5 Grey Cups.

I wonder...If Strev wasnt hurt...does he come in and stay in and drag this team to victory?....I think he does

But...I think Wilson could have too....T.O had zero tape on him and the guy showed poise and a crazy arm...plus he is mobile....I see good things in his future if we develop him like we did Brown...He seems more ready at this juncture than Brown did too...Look forward to his development next yr for sure

Does Osh put him in? And if he does, does Buck let him throw?

They stepped in to overturn a TO offside, because I guess the guy wasn’t far enough over the line for their liking. Not the reason for the loss, but still a godamn joke nonetheless.

I hate saying this, but I was not surprised.  Problem #1 was the over match in the trenches.  Neuf & Kola vs. Ceresna - was going to end badly.

And everyone short of O'Shea knew that. There have been rumours that Paddy has been playing on one good leg since training camp, so he might deserve a pass for now. We are past the point where a tuneup is in order- we're looking at a full overhaul, and I doubt if O'Shea will be part of that. He presents as very set in his ways and at his age, very unlikely to change.

If Zach can't grip the ball why are you putting him back into the game, no trust in the backups is the obvious answer but would they have done any worse

I think it is worse than not having trust in the backup QBs- it sure as spit looked like O'Shea was going to go with Collaros come Hell or high water so long as Collaros could drag himself out onto the field. That is consistent with O'Shea's M.O. for the past few seasons.

And here's the tough one.

I'm not going to get into this now because it's late and I'm standing under the cold November rain smoking my second Monte Cristo number 2 and nursing three fingers of MacAllan... Maybe we'll get into this more as the weeks go on...

But Winnipeg's Trinity has a blind spot: it doesn't churn the roster.

Not sure who is responsible for that truism, but I would bet it comes down to the head coach who decides who is on the field or not. When you look at it, in each consecutive Cup appearance, we have done worse than the previous one. Reminds me of the Russian farmer who, when asked about the current year's crop forecast replied." Worse than last year, but better than next years".

The sooner the better.

I don't understand the series that Wilson got when they were trying to stop Collaros' hand from leaking. You don't let your backup QBs throw all season, you have the MOP in the backfield, you get the ball on the 30 with a huge play from Willie after the let down on that punt block, you are down... 17-13 I think at that point so a TD puts you in the lead, and you dial up 4 straight passes, 1 of which should have been picked in the end zone on an underthrow, and another that was a bit of an overthrow.

Not that it's worth anything at this stage but I noticed Lucky wore yellow-coloured gloves for the first half then changed them for blue gloves to start the second. First kick return he fields with the blue gloves, he fights the ball and fumbles. Later, for the rest of the game, goes back to the yellow gloves. I imagine next year it will just be gardening gloves.

Oven mitts.

You make it sound so easy. It ain't happening. Osh will keep his veterans. Bighill will be welcomed back with open arms. The only way that changes is if Osh is forced to make changes. That's the problem he won't do it on his own. It's a huge problem.

You can quote me on this: O'Shea will quit or be fired (or leave by mutual agreement) rather than change. I do not see that as possible, given his personality and "winning" record as a head coach.

Wilson was put into a real bad position. The Argos had 8 men in the box and basically forcing the Bombers to throw. Wilson was off the mark, as most rookie backups would be, and Toronto's defensive gamble was well founded. This is why putting Zac back in the game was the right gamble at the time. Turned out badly but Wilson was not getting it done.

I wish I could put my finger on it and figure "it" out....so does our coaching and management I'm sure......

We came out in the West final and almost executed perfectly...we were dialed in and focused...yesterday we looked totally different....we seemed to be distracted and sluggish...we started with a penalty, then a step out of bounds on what seemed like an avoidable instance, then we dropped balls on offence, went offside more, messed up play calls inside the 10yrd line, fumbled, took tough mental penalties from guys like Wilson and Nichols...guys who are smart and don't do that... Our DB's that made the plays last week were a half a step behind yesterday...in the West final they tipped and deflected and closed time and time again, last night they were so close...but just were off........

Why, how could we look so different, T.O and Dinwiddie deserve huge props, they were dialed in and executed where we didn't

Sure individuals didn't perform great, but it was deeper than an individual, it was a collective, a collective that was "off".....now we and our management team have an entire offseason to dive into the "why"

Once again congrats to Dinwiddie and the Argo's

Occam's Razor applies here, I think. There is no need to overthink things- O'Shea's personality doomed the team, and the players on the team knew that he was going to keep fielding Whitehead, Thomas, Schmekel, no matter what. We got away with that against a far weaker Rider team, but against the Argos, whose coaches were not afraid to adapt, the Bombers were in way over their heads.

And yet Wilson threw a pass that wheatfall should have caught for a touchdown.

Wheatfall did muff that for sure. Wilson's other 3 passes were god awful.

That's football though. You don't make every play, but you gotta make enough at key times. Rookie qb goes in yeah don't expect high percentage passing but if he hits you with a potential score you gotta reel it in.

Everyone knows Demski was offside on the Wheatfall miss, right? We are just choosing to ignore it?

People making excuses for Demski's ankle but he dropped a couple and went offside twice. Terrible game for him.

He, like the rest of the offence, was not dialed in at all.

Absolutely no question about that. Very disappointed in Wheatfall's effort, or lack thereof, on that play.

On a different note, the officiating was god awful and definitely impacted this game.
