The kid was playing on one ankle and the fact that there was no better option than him isn't his fault.

He had a bum ankle not busted hands. You're gonna get hit, hang onto the ball at the first down marker when it's 2nd down.

Jeez really? Well if you don't want him we will gladly take him.

Go nuts. At his price tag Demski is at the point of diminishing returns.

Wolitarksy wouldn't have gassed multiple first down catches like that.

Agreed. I can forgive him for not being able to get to that one out on the field side he missed on, the 2 over the middle were inexcusable.
You don’t catch with your ankle.

And some people think we can move on from Schoen. Get outta here with that.

My comments about moving on from Schoen was pre game before our offense totally collapsed today. I didn't expect that. Nobody did. I will say that even Dalton Schoen wouldn't have helped that stinky mess of an offense we watched today.

Lawler has gone mia a bunch this season and schoens thing is crisp routes and great hands. Would have 100% made a difference and so would wolitarsky. Dude makes clutch catches. That's hat we needed and we didn't get. Instead we got lackadaisical Lawler, soft demski and might as well have not even been their wheatfall.

I dunno. That dropsie disease they had today was like Covid. It probably would have spread to Schoen & Wolitarsky had they played.

We miss Darvin Adams. No ifs, ands or buts. He was a leader of that receiving group that the other receivers really respected. Our offense hasn't been the same since Walters had another brain fart & wouldn't pay him.

And where's adams now? No we lost some key guys to injury and wheatfall hasn't been able to adjust to being a pro. Clutch guys like wolitarsky and Schoen would be difference makers and 100% if the choice is between Lawler and Schoen I'm sticking with Schoen and I'd have said the same thing after the west final.

People are going to great lengths to find reasons for this loss... it's pretty simple though. Execution was awful on the bombers part offensively, particularly the receivers.

Agree, Lawler shows up, has a big game, and dissappears

Schoen you trust in all situations. To get you the first over the middle, to run the screen, to take it over the top.

I didn't see the same Lawler magic this year with those " can you believe that!!" Catches

I saw and heard a lot of " he usually makes that miracle grab" though

Well no, he usually doesnt

I don't know how anyone can blame the defense.  Four picks, all giving the Argo's offense, great field position to score.

Did you watch the game? Arbuckle was autographing the balls he threw in the pocket on almost every passing play. Very little pressure to rattle the qb. There's plenty of blame to go around to include the defense.

Nah defense was fine, can't win when your offense can't get first downs.

Not good enough on both sides of the ball.   Not enough drugs either....

But of the turds....the biggest were laid by our offense, which couldn't make a play all day

1.  ZC.

You simply expect a better showing from a veteran QB, in a big game.  Bonus: those 4 totally dumb picks

2.  Buck

What exactly was the game plan, in this one? Did Brady O get to 10 carries?.....just forcing the ball down the field killed us.

3.  Receivers

Dropping balls, jumping offsides, had problems getting open......this was not good enough

it's a reflection on coaching...they were not prepared...coached up....whatever you wanna call it....it's been 3 straight yrs now...and if you look deeper...especially this yr...how many games have we looked unprepared....came out flat....got out coached/schemed....way too many

Too much reliance on "the room" to set things straight....that aint working now when your top of the league talent is not top of the talent across the board any more. Time to start coaching....playing guys who earned it and work hard to get better....not the reward for service thing we have going on now far too long

Coach and prep guys to be able to execute....some guys didn't execute, but were they put in best positions to execute??...nobody here can answer that....and Osh won't give us the real answer...and no player will speak out about it either

But we need to have a coach who will make changes in season....put in or pull a guy regardless of tenure...ratio or status....more so status in his mind and not settle for what he broke camp with cause he thinks he picked a winner.....hasnt worked 3 yrs running

It’s as much the fact that he has long been prone to making bone headed mistakes, drops and fumbles especially at bad times.
Yeah he was banged up bad and shouldn’t have kept playing. Our coaches should’ve had a back up for him. He will be back and we will love him next year as soon as he busts a big one.

Even on the 2 deep TD passes to Klaw in the West Final Klaw had to gear down on one and turn around on the other cuz Zach couldn't hit him in stride.

Wilson came in and looked like he had a laser rocket launcher for an arm after zachs tosses. Hes got a good arm and excellent arm talent. But it isn’t that big. Grainger had a bigger arm. I think zach deteriorated that much.
I don’t think he’s been 100% at any point this year. But I also don’t know if he ever would be again. And mentally, I think he’s in that broken Roughrider/ticat end era mode.

Demski would be fine as the 3rd guy in the rung...and used like in 2019-2023....why we went away from that is baffling

Lawler can't do it himself and having to constantly field poor throws ...usually in double/triple coverage ain't helping

A group with him....Schoen.....Demski as your third, with Wilson getting better (he looks legit) and a Clercius/Woli combo with BO would be lights out. Woli was sorely missed and the glue guy in that group....the comfort blanket. As @SpeedFlex27 mentioned we miss Adams and thats 100 percent true. Not so much for his ability now...but for his leadership of that group...the lead by example and the getting the guys on same page...Woli did that for us now...and where do you think he learned that?

You really do make a ton of excuses for guys you like... wasn't a poor throw or triple coverage when Lawler stepped out of bounds early on... now credit to him he was wide open in the endzone when Wilson under threw the ball but still. Lawler wasn't good enough and it's ok to say that. We can say he sucked while still believing he's a very good player.

Too much drama here. Offense sucked last night. Didn't make the plays they had opportunities to make. It happens. Make appropriate changes in the offseason and carry on.

Still think that was a catch as the toe landed first in bounds. He was definitely too casual about it though.

D wasn’t fine. They didn’t play like the strength of the team. Couldn’t get Argos off the field, too many long 2nd down conversions.

Offense sucked too but D didn’t do them a lot of favours either. Other than Willie no one was making plays

Going to vent and then take a break for a while.

If youre not Jefferson, Wilson, Oliveira, or part of the o-line you did not come to play. The especially stinky standouts:

-Offensive play calling was garbage(HELLO, youve got the best player in the league running the ball, RUN THE F**KING BALL MORE).

-Defensive game plan was garbage and wayyyyy too passive. Did/could not adjust at all.

-Nichols picked a shitty time to have his worst game as a Bomber.

-Goodbye Mr. Whitehead, try not to drop your bag on the way out.

-Only time i noticed Tony Jones was when he was missing tackles.

-Other than dropping passes and taking penalties Demski was invisible.

-Other than a couple deep balls Collaros was garbage(even before his finger injury). He's getting very close to getting the "cant win the big game" moniker, if not already there.

3 Grey Cup losses in a row. I cant even wrap my f**king head around that. Just unbelievable. Peace out boys and girls, see you next year.

he's one best receivers in the league....and I like talent....and that first non catch...which I think was a catch wasn't the difference in game...that is same as a toe touch/toe drag across the sideline.....he totally got toe in and then touched out of bounds...Osh should have challenged that....several he shouldhave yet kept flag in pocket until game was long over. With a receiver to step up, he needs his QB to give him throws....and not always contested ones...his 3 td's in WF got us to the Cup....tho all 3 were not throws where he was hit in stride and could easily score....2 were under throws...one was a bit behind him

I like Lucky too...but he totally ****** up...Jones I liked....he was god awful in the middle....I look at results and circumstance....4 guys...maybe 5 stepped up....The oline as a whole did too really....no fault there as well.

See above....we got jobbed on that "non-catch'

Defensively as well...the scheme is a good one....but also has to be used in what circumstance it suits...down and distance....position on field and should be used accordingly...and biggest part of it that fails us is who we have in the middle trying to run it....they aren't the guys....If we can land a legit interior guy...guys who can play this scheme and not give it to a couple middling Canadian DT's....for no other reason to me than because they are Candians and Osh likes them and makes him feel proud to be Canadian...because other than that...they would not get the reps they do anywhere else...likely not even rostered. That and get a play making difference maker MLB....Be it trade for one....grab the best Free Agent or allow a true banger/stud new guy to earn the job and use the season to cut his teeth
