Booch Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM 54 minutes ago, Deiter Fan said: Especially that finger. The index fingertip has the most sensitivity of any finger on your hand. thats the worst one to have useless as a QB 51 minutes ago, bigg jay said: He told Buck and Osh how bad it was and they rolled with him anyway. "Collaros threw on the sideline with Drew Wolitarsky and Chris Streveler, neither of whom were dressed due to injury, and struggled to grip the football. He recalled thinking, ‘****, I can’t really throw’ and relayed that information to offensive coordinator Buck Pierce. After that, head coach Mike O’Shea told him to reenter the game." https://3downnation.com/2024/11/19/zach-collaros-on-grey-cup-injury-i-could-look-inside-my-finger/ But coaching wasn't an...or the issue...it was execution...well the HC basically neutered his offence to be hard pressed to execute anything with continued success right there....and it would have even possible hindered clean hand offs and pitches.....dumb dumb...just flat out dumb Piggy 1 and Deiter Fan 2

I thought they might use a topical just to aid in stitching...but they clearly shot it up. And they still sent him back in. Wow. He could have done more damage to it and not even known it....and he would have had no touch on his passes. Did I say "wow"? Wow. Edited yesterday at 04:16 AM by Deiter Fan
JCon Posted yesterday at 04:20 AM Report Posted yesterday at 04:20 AM I really thought MOS would keep his job after winning the West Final and going to his 5th straight Grey Cup. But, it's clear he's not a good coach, has lost the room and is both too tough and too lenient, trusts his vets too much but also doesn't listen to them. Thanks MBB! Noeller and Piggy 1 1 1

I get you're being facetious...but that description reminds me of a quote I always try to remember. "I may not know the secret of success but I do know the secret of failure and that's trying to please everyone" There may be some aspect of that at play here. Piggy 1 1
Goalie Posted yesterday at 04:29 AM Report Posted yesterday at 04:29 AM Osh ain’t going anywhere but someone will prob take the heat. Honestly the O was bad all year outside of stretches against bad teams, buck should be fired or let go or demoted. don’t see Osh going tho. Could see Osh going if 25 is a disaster which i fear it could be.

Super Duper Negatron Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago (edited) Reading more comments from Brady, Stanley and Neufeld this morning. I said during (after?) the game that if I was Brady I would feel betrayed and pissed and it's sounds like he isn't the only one. Fire Buck Pierce. They did, but we also saw him cringe hard with all the throws on the side line in clear discomfort. Idk what he was going through but even with the numbing it looked like hell. Made no sense to put him back in or keep him in. Especially when he struggled soo bad before the injury. bigg jay and rebusrankin 2

Watching live my thought was to get him tapped, stitched up and back in the game. We were down 8 when he came back and the threat of him returning would have meant that the Argos couldn't just stack the box against Brady. Should have run the ball instead of slinging it deep right away though. Obviously Zach returning did not work at all, but realistically we weren't coming back from down 8 with Wilson or Dolega at QB.

I agree that a comeback with either back-up was unlikely but putting in a QB who couldn't throw meant we had a 0% chance. Dolegala & Wilson could at least throw the ball so there would have been a very small chance but a chance nonetheless. To me, the coaches are supposed to put the team in the best position to win and they failed to do that. The loss is not on them entirely as way too many players did not show up when they needed to but their decision to stick with Zach sealed the loss. wbbfan 1

With Strev already out, when Zach got hurt we were screwed. Most teams are screwed if their top 2 QBs are out. Unless the D and specials can score some points (see the Argos)

A good leader sets up his people to succeed. With this boneheaded decision, O'Shea set up Collaros and the rest of the team to fail. One has to ask why he thought a qb with a damaged hand was a better option than a fully functioning backup, who in theory, is there for exactly this sort of situation. Fatty Liver 1

YUP...just as we dont know if we would have won with a non injured Collaros that game...and based on what we witnessed and were out classed/coached...likely not. He kept him in for several reasons.....firstly he truly believes come high or hell water that ZC is the best of the best....secondly...he suffers from severe smartest guy in the room mentality.....thirdly I truly think he doesn't have the ability to adapt and change on the fly...as I havnt seen it...his way of doing things...and his ideals have basically been the same as game 1 in 2014...he has not evolved or adapted at all...and is riding with what worked for the team in 2019-2021....and even then it wasn't do to materfull coaching...it was a lights out roster...we dont have that now....and he's to blame for that too Coaching and coaching decisions have been 90% the reason for 3 straight cup embarrassments....and players not performimg...executing or just not good enough....is a direct result of yup you guessed it...coaching Deiter Fan and Piggy 1 2
